I don't use opera, sorry I can't help there. I will say for the last couple of days the site's been truly awful. It's go to page ... get waiting for, or connecting to, sending request to, transferring data from ... at the bottom the FF page. The worst is images. Those are loading SO slow.

My roomie went on last night to get her advent stuff and put it in her gallery. I came into the room after hearing her muttering to herself, sat down next to her and waited with her. It took almost 10 minutes! for the page to load. one image ... at ... a ... time. When it finally loaded and she tried to categorize, she kept getting blank pages that just said "done" at the bottom.

And we're on cable! She doesn't have premium, so the ads to slow things down some, but this is ridiculous.

And I think you're right - this will continue all weekend until at least Tuesday. I don't know if they need new servers, more servers or (what I think would help) is dedicated servers - like certain ones just for the BD, just for petpages, just for shops, etc.

It really stinks when the games page doesn't load and your trying to look for the mystery pic.

The news page does not load at all. It ends as a blank page or everything except the images and the 900 np offer, which was what I was trying to get to. I decided I'm not going to bother advertising my beauty contest entry on the neoboads. If it's crawling and taking over 10 minutes to load for people on cable or DSL, then I may as well forget it or open a neopets page, go to bed, wake up 6 hours later and see if it managed to load.

Correction: The banner ad loads, but that's it. Could an ad server be down?

i've got firefox and no issues. strange, it's usually the other way around when it comes to things loading.

not because firefox = bad, but because sometimes coding is weird. i heart firefox.

It's been happening to me for nearly 24 hours now, and driving me nuts!

It comes and goes for me. Yesterday and today I am getting the blank pages. I have to keep refreshing in order for it to come up.

Eventually it will stop. But eventually it will return. Grrrr. It stinks when trying to buy stocked items. I am losing out on a lot of good stuff because I am taking too long refreshing.

Strange, earlier today I was marveling at how fast my connection seemed to be. Ive even been able to snipe a Secret Lab Map piece for 350np, and some cheap codestones. Thats just about never possible on my dial up. I bet I jinxed myself. Ill go back to the site, and wait 20 minutes for a page load now.

Is it just me or is the news page not set up/ or connected propperly?

I can load other things on neopets, but the news: http://neopets.com/nf.phtml just hangs or gives me a cannot find server error.

I just wanted to get the 900 np offer before the day ends.

Anyone have a link?

Edit: It appears to be all neopets pages having trouble loading, but certain things *refuse* to load regardless of what browser, how many refreshes, etc.

Things that deal with the neopet image server fail to load and anything from neopets that ends in .swf

I know my browser isn't blocking swf files be3cause the banner ads load ok. Gifs, jpgs, and pngs load fine if they are not from the neopets database. If they are from the neopet server I get red "x"s all over, including the sidebar.

Cached images seem to be the only images that load.

With that in mind has a server crashed on their end or is it my computer?

It's been doing that to me for days now. Sometimes I have to refresh like 6 or 7 times before the page comes up. It's really starting to bug me.

So I have not had a single lag or slow down all weekend, but then I hop on my side account which isn't premium, and half the pages won't load! Or I'll get the dumb ad, and the rest won't load. It's being horrible.

Mine is working great now!!! I am doing my happy dance! It's been three days of non-stop refreshing. Yay!!! (Of course I am probably jinxing myself!)

I recently installed FireFox purely for the adblock feature (natch ) and Neo started loading again. Maybe TNT are boycotting non-premium IE users
