I just read the new neopedia article and it got me thinking, should there be a new shop added to terror mountain in place of the ski lodge? That might be why it was removed.

Anyone Agree?

The Lodge was removed because it was 'too gory' for their younger players...

Too gory? I guess they've already forgotten their Deserted Fairground Neopedia article. Yikes.

I'm 15, and not scared easily. There have only been 3 things ever that shook me up: The Ring, The Virdanian Room (ending), and the sacraficers thing where he was eaten alive by ants or something. It didn't stand a chance of being saved with little kids on the site.

That's interesting how they got rid of it. I thought it was a nice addition to the site. Blah...Neopets is now getting more directed to the younger users.

Hrm, I didn't know it was removed for its graphic nature. But it's still on the site...on pretty guessable URLs too (not gonna post them though). I thought they just removed it since it was old.

Well my cartoon styled art doesn't look like that. I do think they over cuteify (If thats a word) everything. Like baby pets, I loath them. But I can at least get away from them but when your kougra or Lupe's got this huge baby style head and goo goo eyes you can't really see him as a warrior :P

The trivia was also a sponsor game so may have been removed because its time was done if I recall something about it way back.

Part of it I believe was because they were recieving comments about it being a little advanced for kids to play, or so I heard, or yes the time frame for sponsorship could be up.

Not that long ago, really. The mystery thing? (I wasn't around) ended a long time ago, but the just took the actual lodge out of Terror Mountain a few weeks ago.
