Trying my hand at ice sculpting, this almost 2 foot high Ice Hissi is not done justice with the photographs I was able to take. The wingspan was just over 23 inches. The coils of the Hissi were independant of any supports and the whole was made out of water, ice, and snow.

:o That is amazing. If I ever tried something like that, I'd be missing fingers... not to mention I'd try licking it. My tongue hurts from getting it stuck on an ice pet already.

as extremely cute as that is.... Neopets might not see the creative side to it... i think you might want to etch the egg's pattern onto the egg with a drill or pick or something.... so it actually looks JUST like it... otherwise... its an ice egg.... see what im saying? Nice job by the way.... its very sleek looking and nicely shaped!

I think the ice egg is pretty cool. It would have been awesome to add a band aid and a bandage and made it the Beaten Baby Pteri

Wow! The ice sculptures look really cool! ^^
Since I usually don't get home from work until 10-11pm.. I gathered together a bowl of snow and made my snow Scorchio on my desk ontop of a plate. o.o

I am so discouraged right now. I read the rules thinking it said "you can decorate..." Then I went out for over an hour and worked on mine, and took pictures (which came out SO dark!) and made up the entry. Then I go to submit it and now I read "After you have sculpted your snowy masterpiece decorate it with scarves etc." Now I don't know if I should even submit it. I am so upset! I worked on it for so long, and I might be disqualified because I didn't put any decorations on it....

Do you think I should submit it?

DEFINITELY submit that. It's awesome!

Shame we don't have more snow....I'd go make a snow Peophin or something.

Sweet snow uni! I say submit it and see what happens. You won't lose anything trying. If you still have him built in your yard, why don't you go out, add a scarf and take another pic?

I think the snow uni looks precious just the way it is! Although if you feel bad, take some more pictures in better light. I can see all the details now. I think the evening air keeps it from being to shiny to see all the details. I wish I would have used dimmer lights so my ice sculpture's detail would have showed up more. That, and the bright lights broke it before I could take more pictures.

:(

Thanks guys. :)

I tried pics earlier, but they were so bright, I just deleted them. Then I took it when the sun went into the clouds. On the camera, it looked ok, but when I uploaded them from the camera, they looked too dark.

As for the scarf, therein lies my problem...I don't have a scarf! I never use them, so I don't have them. I like the cold, and I'm lucky I have gloves! ;)

I'm going to submit it with fingers crossed, but I'm not holding any hopes for this guy. :(

With all the shiny white entries, I feel silly for coloring mine. He looks like a giant lime snowcone shaved ice creature :/

That Hissi looks awesome too. I'd never be able to do ice.

I think he looks great with color! My plan is to do a "life-sized" Tyrannian Lupe and color him, too. I figure the details will show up better in a picture that way. Unfortunately, it rained yesterday and washed away the little bit of snow we did have. It's supposed to snow again this week, so I have my fingers crossed. TNT totally should have held this RC in late January or early February, though, when more people are likely to have snow.

Totally submit it. Since you actually have snow to work with, that should be an advantage. All I would of had to work with was bad sand for a stupid sand pet, or (sadly, this is my only other main resource) I could make an actual dung pet  Since I ain't crazy, I won't be making either. You actually have snow so go for it.
