I really like it. I do agree that the eyes don't really fit in with most of the other Neopets, but they are cute. I'm not sure if I'll get one, but I wouldn't be unhappy if one of my lab rats turned into one.
Xweetok isn't the worst possible name, but it could be better. It took me a minute to figure out how I was supposed to say it. I went with "Zwee-talk" for the record.
It's a very cute pet, and I like cute. I like the stripe/mane thing being the only colored parts, too. It's a nice style.

What bothers me is that they owe us two species already - The April Fools pet, and the Lutari.
And they give us THIS? I mean.. what?
It's cute, they remind me of Chinchillas. It's not that I don't like the Xweetok, it's just.. give us what we've been waiting for already! -.-'

Speaking of the Lutari, I noticed something interesting on the back of one of the Darkest Faerie TCG prize code cards. It says something about Lutari Island now being playable on your cell phone, but I went to the address listed and found nothing on it. A scan of the card is here.

Is it me or does the Xweetok look like a Neopetified coloured skunk?
A white Xweetok would look very much like it I guess but the bat ears just don't fit.
Neopets should be more original in making new virtual pets instead of combining hybrids from nature or myth.

Well I think the purpose behind the name is that Neopets still needed to choose a pet species that began with the letter "V" or "X". So they obviously chose the "X" and thought of the most ridiculous thing they could imagine and hence Xweetok. So after the Lutari, the next neopet will most likely start with a "V" and neopets will have finally finished their alphabet.

I think it looks more like a chipmunk than anything. Ugly little critters, although in a sorta cute way.

I'm going on record to say that this is one of the most adorable pets I've seen. I just adore it. Especially the yellow one, for some reason.
