I'm kind of sad the plot is over, no more of the crazy speculation, prank pictures, jokes and discussion, as corny as it sounds I'll miss this thread

So will I! I'm not much of a forum-kind-of-guy, but I've always liked reading all the speculation, helping people out who were behind, ... I wouldn't be here, having finished the plot for like two weeks or so already, without these boards, so I'll definitely be here again with the next plot!

As for the whole solution, we sure did a lot of hard work if you read through that whole thing, so I think we can give ourselves a nice round of applause! :)

I'm not too surprised I never saw the toenails... After all, it was the 4th crystal, and I knew I was in the home stretch to be finished. The last thing I ever would have planned would have been a random jaunt to the cook ;)

Bravolliant plot (yay, I coined a new word!)

I noticed that his toenails were painted, but didn't think anything about it, and since I was mostly in the Basement, I really didn't bother to check them again to see if they changed.

Using that as a checklist: check, no, big check on the jokes, check, and check on missing all of you. If anyone wants more crazy speculation, jokes and/or discussion (on any topic), just contact me.

PS: Just because the story arc is over, doesn't mean I'll stop speculating on it. There is a lot of stuff that went unanswered, plus the Lost Desert and especially Qasala fit into my developing Neopian Dark Age theory.

If I had suspected anyone of having painted toenails, it definitely would have been the Interior Decorator. He seemed more the type.

I agree the ID would be more likely but then again he wouldn't paint his nails those colours, it would like totally clash with his outfit ;)

Okay. I was just going through the LDP solution again, and I was a little confused about this pic http://images.neopets.com/desert/ldp/sol/map_room_6.gif. The laser was strong enough to blast through a stone wall but when it reaches a paper scroll, the scroll is undamaged o_O . Did we talk about this when it happened? Sorry to repeat if so.

I am all for creating a plot of a plot of a plot. Since TNT made fun of us for just being covered in scarabs (and I am sure so much more) I propose we dedicate a thread to making fun of the LD plot holes and even being more creative, such as continuing all the until-now-disallowed comics, poems, commentaries, etc. (if the mods don't mind of course; really all hail them else we would not exist here). ;) I, for one, would now love to see:

Adam and Donna with painted toenails engulfed in a grand "pyramid" of scarabs; with each of their (4) hands holding: 1) a pile of sand, 2) a huge block, 3) a scroll rack, and 4) a Lenny with a Scamander Herring in its beak; with an evil Pink Fuzzle pointing and laughing at them; with Tomos and Amira dancing around them in circles; with the Foreman-Chef Yurble cursing them for his horrible "temp jobs" (if anyone should choose to embark on such nonsense ... ahem, *gains self compusure*).

I also think TNT should release the Kau Fortune Teller and her spinning Ben scroll as a new "spin the scroll to waste some NP on some worthless prize" game like Bagatelle or Coconut Shy or the Wheel of Mis-Translated Fortune or something. Tombs in the Rumble is just like Grand Theft Ummagine to me, and "I can't make heads or tails of" that or Time Tunnel. :P

This caused the real prophecy to be revealed:

The father of the prince will destroy the great desert

Interesting how the 'real' prophecy didn't actually happen...

I'm still holding out for more to this saga.

As anyone who studies prophets and prophesies would say, prophesies are just guesses and not the way things are going to happen. How we act when we hear the prophesy determines whether it will come true or not. (Wow. Watching Decoding the Past on the History Channel really pays off).

I have come across such things many times before, and my understanding (and certainly the way it pans out in Greek myth (not sure about Egyptian, or Neopian for that matter ;) ) is that the future is predetermined and immutable, despite the actions of petty mortals, or even of the gods.

However, I don't find it inconceivable that other philosophies would encompass a different view: that the future is uncertain.

I do still feel that it would be 'neater' to have some sort of mass destruction and chaos
