weapon? sure as long as whatever they give out doesn't cause deflation of another similar item (GSH went waaaaay down, just as I was going to sell mine ). Petpets? Usually they do give at least one.

The only thing I hope is that they do it the same as last year ... meaning everyone gets the same thing, regardless of what time of day they go to the calendar. The year before, when people got one thing early, then a much cheaper item later caused such turmoil! Everyone should get the same things every day

I don't know. On one hand, it's much fairer, especially since Neopets is an around the world thing, if everybody gets the same thing.
But if, say, there were three items given out a day, broken up into 8 hour blocks... then the items wouldn't be fairly unlessable. I hate it that even now, things from the Advent Calendar two years ago are fairly common. Obviously, it couldn't be like, a petpet the first 8 hours, a neoschool item the 2nd, and then a battledome item the third... they'd have to find a system to keep the items fairly even.
Either way, I'll be happy.

I think that that would simply promote more people to use more accounts to gain all 3 different prizes for free. So with more people doing that, it won't solve the "less common" problem.

If there's 1 prize all day, there isn't as much motivation to cheat and use more than one account. And I really don't care if Advent items are common. They're still special because they were freebies

All I hope for is a nice faerie item like a snowglobe or doll, a good weapon, and a rod of ultranova that doesn't get stolen.

With me, it's just that I'm not so much of a packrat on Neopia (unlike real life...I can't find my bed!), so I usually sell what freebies I don't need for things I can use, like paint brushes, map pieces, *insert other stuff here*. I like that it's free, cuz you make money off of it ... but it sits in my box forever until it's worth something.
Unless they turn it into an avatar item. Then we can all sit back and watch the fur fly.

Edit: You know, I figured out what I want from the Advent Calendar this year... no glitches throughough all of December.

They've done it before in 2003 with the White Ona/White Chocolate Asparagus Souffle and the Snow Petpet Paint Brush/Snowbunny (TCG). I beleived there were too many people upset given the nature of what was given those few hours (roughly it was from midnight to 8-9 AM NST.) Something that's supposed to be fun shouldn't be overshadowed like that (even if these items are free.)

Rune, that was a nightmare. People were actually angry, the boards were in an uproar. I was really glad last year that everybody got the same thing. That's the way I think it should be.

Of course, people complain every year ... the "is that all?!" topics which really ice my cookies. I mean, Neo doesn't even have to do this, they put alot of time, thought and effort into it and it's free for goodness sake! Personally, I'm happy with whatever we get and I actually look forward to the little movies more than the items sometimes.

Now my roomie with her advent gallery is definitely getting excited. I don't know if she actually spends any np on anything but that.

There'll be a petpet, an avatar, maybe a battledome item that is fairly useless, loads of chocolate, some garden and neohome stuff and mostly plushies I think

I hope we get a paintable petpet or more plushies ^^ This one from last year is my favorite item on all Neopets

I love the techo clock from last yr. It was one of my favorite prizes. I'm hoping for lots of chocolate/seasonal food, seasonal plushies and some new neohome items.

I loved the snickelbeast and books I hoard books like crazy cuz people will read them then they go up up up -lol-

Why does the Advent Calendar pic on the new features take you to the TCG Rare Item Code Redemption screen?

I am more excited about the animations. I DO love cute and useful prizes as well.
