You basically just have to walk around and happen upon them. They're in specific places, I just can't remember which ones.
Oh darn, thank you anyway. *claws at evil swamp mud* is Kast just really really strong or? ._.
The berries are pretty easy to spot since you could easily mistake them for a mote from far away, so don't go trying to dig around in the mud and bushes

Kast isn't really strong exactly but the way you have to beat him can get a bit annoying although not much more than that.
Well, I've been through the same areas for several hours now... spotted nothing. Only area I haven't been to I keep dying trying to get there. The water goes straight from walk-able to drowning death pool. I don't know what to make of it - but it is amusing to die twice like that. XD
HAHA, I didn't mean that literally - but I guess I'll stop looking for bubbles to jump down then. XD
Oh, I don't know what that is yet but I'm sure I'll soon see. :3 I feel better knowing someone else has already gotten past where I am. I know it's possible.... XD Just, needs to be executed. I'm still surprized I figured out how the endless staircase works by myself. I'm usually stupid with that stuff but the quiggle statues were simply too obvious to ignore completely.

The Turmac gives you all the bennys of the other petpets-combined! As in he gradually restores health, mp, sheilds you, AND gives you an attack bonus! The downside is he has to be fed about 3x as much. T_T
I'm in bogshot to right now...and annoyingly just got killed by walking into an apperantly to-deep part of the swamp...there is one gripe I have with the game: The lack of depth or warning for deeper water(or other liquid substances). I've gotten killed several times because the water is instant-death water...meh.
And whoever said they wanted to murder the recruiter: Oh yes, thats exactly how I felt.
The large amount of sidequests avaliable is really kind of nice, because if your short on money, you can go on one, and rake in some nice cash...plus, if you buy all the maps you can, you can probably pick up some really SWEET treasure on the way. I think I got like 1.5k from one chest...and I got a starry, and red negg from two chests in the swamp area with sophie. Really nice. Its kind of cool how you have the running quest with the prince in meriddel and the princess in Brightvale, those are always interesting...I hope he pays well for the letters though, considering the amount of trouble its taking me to get back there. >_O
By the way, does anybody know what "luck" does in this game? I know the clovers give you luck...but what does it DO?

digitel_anime_fan_20 - Oh! That's awesome, I'll be sure to get one since I have over 50 purple juppies to blow. XD Thanks!
As for luck, I don't know HOW accurate this is - but one of the characters in the game says their relative claims that they "attract" motes. Mabey the higher your luck. The more motes you'll find? It seems that way to me at least.

Oooo, good theory! xD
I guess that would mean more enemies drop them or somthing...or maybe they respawn more often in the points they appear in. Or somthing. xD

Wow, it sounds like you guys are having lots of fun. I had no interest in this game at all but maybe I'll have to rent it to check it out now...

I have a question; do the characters actually talk in the game? From what I heard in a review at Game Spot, they don't, but just make little noises when there is dialogue.

Stinkyllama - You really must! I didn't want to even get it at all at first and even had buyers remorse - untill I played it. Was totally worth every penny for me. XD
Remybuxaplentyfan - They talk in the CG movies, but make sounds when you're talking to them otherwise.. that is unless you count "Hey!" or "Yea!" as talking. XD Sometimes they even say the first word of their statement. But that's it. Dunno if that's good or not. XD

So, the noise they make outside of the cgs is kind of like Banjo-Kazooie type sound, or Animal Crossing animalese? ..cute. XD

That's good. I'm planning on buying it sometime soon, and one thing that really interested me was that for the first time, official voices would most likely be given to the Neopian characters. I thought that would be a neat thing, seeing as you can only imagine what they sound like as you're reading the plots on the website.

Moonlight Flower - I haven't really heard banjo's - but with animal crossing - yea.. sorta, in a way... but more like Harvest moon: a wonderful life(Game cube). X3
Remybuxaplentyfan - It is, but really - the voices in the movies fit very well and I say this as the characters sounded just like I thought they would.

I've enjoyed the game so far, although my current task is starting to frustrate me:P Have been at it for awhile now and no solution is apparent:(
You can tell the safe water from the dangerous by the difference in shade. Safe water will be lighter. I had to turn my brightness up a good deal to get through the darker spots.

What's your current task if I may ask? Mine is slaying Kast who looks totally different. He suddenly has a cobras' hood. ._. *blink*
Well, it's only obvious in the swamp water after a while. My TV doesn't go any lighter and I still have to trial by fire half the time (walk to see if the water goes above hip-level which means it will drown you if you go out too far) XP But as you fight Kast, they made it VERY noticeable there so you have a chance of fighting him and knowing where not to go. XD

Well I passed it now, but I needed to get back inside Meridell and do so in a 'sneaky' way. Didn't think to switch into my robe till I'd been wandering around the village for maybe two hours:P

o_o Robe? I guess I'll see then. XD How did you kill Kastraliss? I have NO clue what I'm doing there. I just jumped up the things and he spent the entire time just spewing poison at me. I ended up losing my patience and lunged at him - drowning myself(you'd get impatient too.. this was about an hour or so of him doing that). XD
Fri Nov 25, 2005 7:33 pm
I hope I describe this okay, but basically you get up onto a platform and wait for him to come up in front of you. As he rises and prepares to strike, jump to the next platform then face him and block cause he'll lunge almost right away. Watch to make sure he doesn't fall in the water (drowned myself a few times trying to hit him that way:P) And you'll be done in no time. Took me a bunch of tries, but oh how happy I was to finish him off.
EDIT: Now that I've beat the game I'd be happy to answer any storyline questions (side quests too though I'm sure I missed some of them)
