Ok, to answer some questions:

In my newbie pack, I got:
-1 Wooded Blocking Shield
-1 Blue Ixi Plushie
-1 Mystery Of The Kougra Paw (Book)
-1 Mashed Potato With Gravy
-1 Starter Red Paint Brush
-1 Starter Yellow Paint Brush
-1 Weeble (petpet)
-1 Ditsy (petpet)

Also, I put the Ditsy in my SDB and took it out again and it equiped fine.

I'm disapointed. I have all 5 accounts created, all with pets I want to keep. There's no way I can create a new account without breaking the account limit rule.

Should I bother making one anyway, just to see what the pack looks like?

Maybe even self freeze it after I see?

Meh, I'd just forget about the newbie packs if I were you. XD

But yes, I agree with some sort of 'oldbie' pack. They've been saying they were going to start rewarding older players. I've been playing five and a half years, and I would like something for sticking around that long. ^^";

Like, some cool looking non-tradable petpets for us... XD or maybe a free go at the rainbow fountain after so many years, or a couple of random map pieces. Just SOMETHING. XD

Butterfly, you'd take that risk just to see a new member pack? You wouldn't be able to do anything with the pb or petpets, and you'd be using a name that maybe someone else wants.

Yes, the petpets are cute (the ones I've seen in galleries) in a really strange way, but they're not enough for me to want to start a new account -- and since I have 3, I technically could make another.

But the packs sure have changed. I remember getting a big book of puzzles (remember when they were 100 np or less?), an aisha plushie, 1 food item and one really bad bd item. Might have been a wooden blocking shield, not sure.

As to "oldie" packs, I don't know how that would work. Unless everyone got something on, say, their yearly Neo anniversary with the items getting a little better for each year you're a member.

Robin, glad you got that petpet equipped :)

No I wouldn't create an account. I was trying to make a statement. :P

Maybe they could give items on your accounts B-day.

For example my main account was created July 4, so every July 4 they'd give my account a "newbe" pack. Could be the same items or slightly different items than what is inside the current newbie packs.

An oldbie pack would be great. I don't see why they couldn't give you something on your anniversary. It could get slightly better each year. It wouldn't even need to be as big as a newbie pack. Maybe one or two less-than-fairly-common items, like books or petpets or something (useful, not clothes or the now-useless neoschool items), and then item that gets rarer each year. Maybe something that can only be gotten through the oldie packs. It could change each year. Then the item wouldn't be ultra-rare, but it'd be something special. Like the cute petpets that the newbies are getting.

I am personally rather adverse to the idea of an 'oldbie' pack. There's no way to do it fairly. Yes, the people who have had their original account all along would get something, but what about anyone else?

Me, for exemple. I've been on Neo since the very beginning, but all of my other accounts have been frozen for various stupid and completely fals reasons ( :x ). That doesn't make me any less of an 'oldbie', but TNT doesn't know that. All they have to go on is the account creation date.

Well, there are going to be cases like yours of course. But why should that stop the rest of us who have managed to keep an account this long from getting rewarded for it? ^^" It's just a little selfish really. It's like saying, 'If I can't have it, you can't either', except you'd be getting the items eventually anyway. O.o It's not like they'd be that much anyways.

Same thing with a newbie pack though - You could have been playing from the start - but as soon as you make a new account you get a newbie pack...

I'd rather have something than nothing, wouldn't you? I also think it'd be neat to get something for every year you've been on Neopets. Not anything economy wrecking, but just a little something to say "Congrats for beating the system and not getting frozen!" I think a fifth pet slot would be marvelous, especially with the recent nonsense regarding older accounts, however unlikely it may be. The newbie petpets only bother me on principal because I don't particularly care for any of them. I'd still like normal versions of those petpets for everyone else though, even if we have to pay for them.
