I recently bought some DF trading cards from ebay and with the release of the Darkest Faerie TCG comes a few cards featuring "Tainted" Neopets. Do you think Neopets will make this an actual color? If they did, would you get one?

I know they're planning a lot with the Darkest Faerie expansion, so anything is possible. They look kind of a cross between Darigan and Mutated though, so I don't know if they'll actually do something that overlaps. :S

I would suggest they won't as they already have Darigan and Mutant. However, they may well make them just to spite me.

It would be nice if they made a Tainted Petpet Paint Brush at least, the Harris is awesome

I wondered that myself but it just seems too much like darigan and it seems like its hard enough already for TNT to think of dark looking neopet ideas for both darigan and mutant and still keep them distinguishable. Tainted might be bit too much.

Maybe they'll make a Merge Paintbrush. Like:

Mutant + Darigan = Tainted
Faerie + Tyranian = Dragons

I don't think so ... first of all they are very darigan looking. Second, I think the "tainted" is more towards having been bewitched or put under an evil spell (which can be broken) and turned toward the dark side. So they are tainted, not painted

That sounds nice, but I'm thinking that if they do something like that it would be a Cooking Pot recipe. And boy, that would have some nasty consenquences on the economy.

I like this idea the most. It looks like the Darkest Faerie does some evil spell to take over the planet. I think it would be appropriate if our pets get tainted when she takes over.

I think Darigan should be given precedence for evil petpets. Though the slorg seems to be lost in the void, I'd rather have Darigan petpets instead. Tainted is the epitome of stereotypical Darigan design. Purple, slightly twisted, evil red glowy eyes. Mutant sometimes becomes redundant, like the recent bori, but this would be worse as a less attractive ripoff.

I do think it would be interesting if they found a way to incorporate the Darkest faerie into the Darigan mythos. We still don't really know where the orb came from and who created it, or even where the Citadell originated. Somewhere on the Other Side of Neopia, near Altador, should be a Darigan Citadell sized hole in the ground. If the Darkest Faerie were to live up to her name, I wouldn't be surprised if the orb were her doing and Darigan's plight a stronger version of her Taint.

But this is Neopets, so it's probably just a lame copy.

Spell idea is pretty good actually. Maybe it is all about the New Random Events the News talked about. Where the Darkest Faerie comes along and make you pet/petpet/petpetpet evil/tainted and bad and stuff. It would be pretty cool.

Will tainted/bad pet/petpet/petpetpet rip your neohome apart? or maybe destroy ur toys? wreck ur SDB ?

I really hope it isn't a global spell causing all pets to be tainted. I don't want my pretty little Zafara mutanted into a horrible beast. I'm cool if it is my Shoyru or Acara, they are already evil, but not my Zafara.

Er...did I miss something - Do these colours actually exist for those 3 species or is this something I'm unaware of?
