Lost Desert Plot Discussion #125 (Summary in First Post)

So we're still at a standstill.

One thing my daughter brought up was that the RE scrolls that TNT told us to 'hold onto' in the news, were never all released were they? I remember a few being found, but certainly not all of them and not in any great numbers.

Also remember the game called Rumble in the Tombs? That seemed to have been scratched. It's possible TNT had grander plans than what we have even seen, but they were made shorter due to the DF release.

I think though they intended the scrolls to be in very limtied quanitie. As far as those physical scrolls are conserned, they were only in existance in order to give us clues towards what we were supposed to do (mentions of the three libraries in the temple and then the line we were supposed to say at the repository.) People would find out about the scrolls and their name and relay the information on forums and by word of mouth. I doubt that they have some higher purpose reflecting on it.

Rumble in the Tombs may very well be released after the plot (it's not out of possibility knowing how TNT releases things.) Last time someone played it, it was still in the works so likely they arer still working on it.

As for the physical scrolls, I agree about their purpose being to use their descriptions provide the clue to get into the repository, however, why would TNT tell us to hold on to them if we found one? Just because they are valuable? I don't know about that part!

I think if we had anything left to do that is active, dirtside or snarkie would be on here prodding us into action like before as there would be panic the plot wouldn't finish in time. As it is I think it's all just been cut short for the Darkest Faerie stuff.

yes at last i found my 4th crystal after looking in 20 rooms.

I cant wait for it all to finish now though

Hi, everyone. I hope you are all having a great day wherever in the world you might be. I am having problems with getting crystal number 4 and I am hoping that you all might be able to help me.

To get the clue for the 4th crystal I know that I have to read the red, blue and yellow components until I get a coordinate for a white symbol. I have completed this process for my first symbol which was a SAF. The next two symbols were both DJO's so I read the yellow, blue, red combos until I received the clue for that one. Since both symbols were DJO I read the white scroll twice. Is that correct????

The reason I am wondering whether or not it is correct leads me to my fourth symbol--the KHA. I have read brybrbyrb 4 times now with no result. I find myself growing increasingly frustrated because I am so close to the completion of this task but I am so far away.

I need some suggestions as to what to try next....I am lost and I don't want to give up. Please help me! Thanks...

Hmm...well, you know the order that you read them in. I suggest reading the djo combination again, then reading the white djo scroll again. Just to be on the safe side.

Teddi, I believe you have to read the sequence of rby (or whatever yours was) twice and read the white scroll at the end of each sequence, not just read the white scroll 2 times at once. Hope that helps and makes sense.

my notes say that i read two different combinations for a repeat symbol

so for one symbol that repeated (say ra), i read RBY first, read the white ra, and then RYB before i got the next location for the next white ra

actually, i had a repeated symbol and the pattern of the rby scrolls changed....you might have to try all the combinations again.

teddi, i had two symbols the same but the rby scrolls had to be read in two differnt combinations to get the location, which happened to eb the same for me. i suspect you eed to go back and read the third one again, from the primary coloured scrolls until you get given the location again before you will be able to find the fourth one.

i wish that when tnt releases a comic, they would actually release the comic. hopefully not too much will happen before tonight...i have to go to class.
