Lost Desert Plot Discussion #125 (Summary in First Post)

ah I'm sorry but that ending was a bit...i dunno, lame I guess. Or maybe just too rushed. Considering this has all been going on for over 2 months they could have been more creative than that. But wait, is the plot over? Was something found that we have to do with our maps and I just missed it? Or are we still working on that?

i think we're done. of course, we're still waiting for TNT to make it official but i doubt they can put much more into it, especially if the darkest faerie plot is coming out in a week or so.

Why does everyone think we are done. The comic has been a part of the plot puzzles but not always necessary (only the 1st 3 chapters). We still have to give the correct prophecy to Nuria. We still need to get Sakhmet back. This may all happen with the release of the last comic or as with all the other puzzles/clues/tasks, we need TNT to release them.

As it may be another week before TNT release the last comic, that gives us all the time to complete our final tasks.

If finding the white scroll was the end, then it would have been announced with fanfare and trumpets...not petered out into nothingness.

I'm kinda confused as to why Scordrax was in the Battledome if he wasn't really involved in our puzzle finding (unless he was a red herring for when we did the bottle-crystal stuff.) As it is we were helping on the real side while it was causing havoc so it doesn't make any sense canon wise. I would have hoped they were more inclinded to have more fighting given what they hyped about in the editoiral (but I think everyone wanted out of that since the Maraqua war was crud.)

BTW whatever happened to Vyssa? O_o;

It's not looking like there will be any more fighting, but I'm glad you brought it up - reminded me I need to go and max out on the challengers we do have.

Wait a second. In the comic Princess Amira is ruling the lost desert. I thought that princess Vyssa was ruling the lost desert. I am confused - Conormdr203
We decided to change it as we didn't want another Usul being the main character. As its turns out Princess Amira was touring the desert when her father was murdered, Princess Vyssa was ruling in her absence, but handed the reins back over to her elder sister once she returned.

so we just have those scrolls for nothing? ohhh i hope that's not the last of it. I will be rather unhappy if we went through all of that just to get a scroll. I guess we'll have to wait and see though

Scordrax was in the comic as one of the "baddies" blasting Sakhmet. As we need some baddies to fight, he was put in. It does tie in with the plot, just not the puzzles.

Usually, the comic is released within a 2-3 days of the text being on the server. (That text was uploaded today.) So, I think it's safe to expect the comic this week, rather than next. However, if TNT is still paying attention to this thread, perhaps they'll decide to make a few changes before releasing it.

I'm not too sure that we are done either. (See my post on page one.) Nuria in particular is driving me bonkers, but I've tried every permutation of the prophecy statements I can come up with, and still nothing. Unless we can manage to force the fortune teller to tell us what "nonsense" she is leaving out, it looks like Nuria still isn't happy enough with our prophecies to reward us with "treasures beyond compare." I'm open to ideas... it just seems that we are running out of them...

Actually I'm refering to the fact that Vyssa was in a couple scenes in the palace with Amira in the early chapters but then disappeared from everything elese while all focus was placed on Amira and the other plane. Clearly plot wise she could have been by her sister conforting her instead of being whiped off the planet and Amira being pressured by Jazan.

Ahhh.. Yeah... I hadn't even noticed her lack of appearance recently. That is rather odd. I wonder if she'll re-appear in the "wedding" chapter.

As for it ending soon...didn't they say that there would be a lot of fighting in this plot as well? I hope that wasn't refering to that half a fight with the spirit for the smoldering vial.

I thought so as well.. but only 2 challengers doesn't really make it seem like it's much fighting.

I don't expect a full-fledged war since it's a plot.. but I would have thought that there would be at least 4 challengers released.

This is my first plot; I am not sure how it works. Do users typically "redeem" the last item they held at plot's end to get their "points"?

Read the COMBINED color as you mapped [purple, orange, green] (in the example, you'd read the ORANGE set) in that location. However, you will NOT get a confirmation message this time.

Right now I'm reading scrolls to get my 3rd crystal, but as I'm reading the scrolls I'm not getting any sort of confirmation message. I want to make sure I'm doing this right before I continue going up and down the stupid stairs.

I followed the instructions, and had no problems getting to this point.

can any1 tell me when the next time will be when its bright in the repository. I think its really stupid how we're all spending weeks solving this puzzle. i rekon they should cut straight to the fights! also can any1 tell me how long the brightness stays for in the repository

it's different for everyone. check it every hour....it stays on for one hour, and it's on once every eight hours (three times a day).

Are you trying one combination and not getting a result or have tried both (for a purple light say red and blue and then trying blue and red) and not gotting a result?

Not all plots have puzzles. I have not done a plot like this one. I know in the Mystery Island Plot, you actually had to buy items to advance in the plot.

As the Mysterious Scroll is not an item, it must serve another function.

In the last plot/war we redeem our points for prizes. As TNT has stated that they are keeping tally of our points, I wouldn't be surprised if we get to redeem points for prizes again.

We should also get a trophy.
