What I mean is, what's the longest it would normally take for an unreleased pet color that's on the servers to be officially released? A few months? A year? 0_o I'm wondering, because I more or less rejoined Neopets simply because I saw the (unreleased) faerie eyrie on these forums. And it seems like I might be able to save up enough for a faerie pb by spring, but...the faerie eyrie is currently still unreleased even though it was found a month ago, and I'm a bit worried that even after I have a pb, I'll still need to wait for TNT to release the color. xP Gaaah...

So, worst case scenario, how could I have to wait?

And, normal case scenario, how long?

Well it varies... In most cases they are released with the news, on others a day after. Sometimes it can take 2 or 3 weeks. The Darigan Pteri has been on the servers for over a year! I don't know how long exactly :S So I guess that's the worst case scenario.

All of the Faerie Eyrie poses apart from circle have been deleted from the neopets servers though, perhaps they are tweaking it after the mixed reaction. A little tweak with the shading and it will be awesome.

It's really hard to say how long it takes, IMHO. I think they sometimes forget, to be honest.

I don't know about pets, but I can tell you I've been trying to get an answer for a couple months now as to why huggys were released in blue, they're in the petpet puddle, but if you paint a huggy blue the only thing that'll happen is you'll lose your blue pppb (and the np that bought it) and have a plain huggy.

If you paint a petpet it's default colour then it will return to it's original form (as you no doubt know ^^). The original form of the huggy being blue (as you no doubt know again, heh ^^) I expect the blue huggy was an accident. I have no idea why they didn't spot it before they released it (or fixed it since) as they have done with other "illegal" pet/colour combinations. The fact that the huggy case causes people to lose their neopoints would make you think they'd act to rectify the situation asap - what I would do is set the huggy petpets original colour to green, problem solved

Mind you they didn't spot that they had a starry wuzzle with no starry petpet paint brush for months and their artists are currently putting petpets with non existant colours on the servers and then deleting them, eg the split and electric symols.

Are you sure you can't get them from the petpet lab? That's how I got my gold meepit, which also doesn't exist according to the petpet puddle.

The electric and split symol images have been deleted from the neopets servers - there is no way of getting them. They weren't announced in the news either, gold and other petpet lab colours (save for jelly which of course doesn't exist) are in the news ^^

I'm waiting to see if the striped, darigan and electric slorgs suffer the same fate. And if they aren't another mistake and are actually released, darigan better not be lab only ¬_¬

See? It is different The regular huggy is almost a teal color with a fuscia "ruff", the blue is, well, blue with dark blue "ruff"

Yeah I know That was my whole point - because the default colour of the huggy is also blue (like the default of the gallion is orange and the default of the meowclops is black) no petpet named "Blue Huggy" with the blue huggy picture can exist. A blue petpet pb + regular huggy = regular huggy, just as any other colour of huggy + blue petpet pb = regular huggy.

You can't have a colour of petpet that is also set as the default colour as then it just isn't possible to get, except through the petpet lab of course but we shouldn't have to rely on that for something in the rainbow pool really.

But if they set the default huggy colour to green so any huggy + green petpet pb = regular huggy it would be free to be painted blue to get the currently impossible blue huggy (and there is no green painted huggy). I really thought they would have seen their mistake (especially with people pointing it out) and do that but apparently petpets are not a priority =(
