I assume this means that I read the colors from the lights in order, but plot them on the tablet in reverse order?

Also, when it says "have not changed" - let's say a certain symbol was red for the first set of lights, and blank for the second set of lights. Does that count as not changed? What if it's red for the first set of lights and red for the second set of lights? Does that also count as not changed?

Could the person writing the summary be a bit more specific? Thanks.

You still plot the full 16 light pattern on your tablet the way you did the first time, crossing off the primary colors and the blanks. Then you write down the symbols starting from the last one on your tablet and ending with the first one. (the last symbol you marked, not the last symbol on the tablet if it isnt marked) Dont put the light pattern on backwards. Put it on the same way you did the first time. Your blank spaces will be blank on each crystal. If it was blank the first time, it will be blank the second and third.

So basically, primary colors count as blanks on the second light pattern? Also, why am I writing the symbols in reverse? Is that the order I'm supposed to read them in? And when it says "It seems that the order to read is determined by your card catalog order.", what the heck does that mean?

Sorry, the first post summary makes no sense to me at all.

For the Jelly trap, try going into the nearest door/hallway entrance to the right your faerie door. Then in the new hallway click the first symbol to your right.

I don't know if this works for everyone but it worked for my sister right away when I was helping her.

:)

There is no hallway to the right of my faerie door :( :(

B4U (& anyone else still figuring out *how* the patterns from the second crystal work) -- does this help?

After you mark your 8 symbols on the tablet you then write them down starting with the last marked symbol and ending with the first marked symbol. This is the order you will look them up. If your first symbol to use (the last one marked on your tablet is a Green Kar, and the first set of lights showed it as a Blue Kar, you will need to find the Blue Kar and the Yellow Kar. The order you find them in is the order of your new catalog. If it goes RYB, then you would find the Yellow Kar first, then the Blue Kar. After finding the Blue Kar, you will be given the location to find the Green Kar. Then go on to the next symbol on your list (the second from the last symbol marked on your tablet.)

Oops forgot to say yes, the primary colors that did not change are now going to be blanks. (or Xs)

Nowhere? Hmm...I guess that proves my theory to be more of a coincedence. Sorry!

Spare your hair, you'll need it for after my answer:

Yes, it is completely random :)

So you need to try out all 6 variations to be completely sure... (there's a good runthrough of the colours on the first page).

Um, the next symbol with the second crystal is a orange kar, which means I have to read a red kar and yellow kar. (in that order)

The red kar is supposedly in Stairwell Landing and Astronomical Records, but it isn't in there. I'm stuck. Help.

I don't know what to do with my scroll... I've looked for secret links in the comic and I've been to Nuria's room, the fortune teller, the chef, the directory. I'm running out of ideas...

WHAT WHAT WHAT!. OMG what happened to the heiarchy on the catalog thing? Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!

Sat Nov 05, 2005 6:37 pm

but you are positive i don't have to see light for the third crystal?

No, you just have to know where your blanks are, you don't have to see the light again to start looking for white scrolls. But you have to look your directory again because it changes every time you get a new crystal

Yes, I've already heard of several people who have gotten their fourth crystal without seeing their lights again.

I found this to be true as well. Once I figured out to start at the racks farthest from the door, at least 75% of the time my scroll would be within the first few racks I looked at.
