my final theory (let me know if already tried, since i really dont want to do this): you need to read 24 scrolls to get the blended colors.

the original 12 colors matched to your tablet and sorted as done for crystal 1 (use the 'wet paint' card catalog and your original crystal color order)

then do the same with the subtracted color pattern (match to tablet, sort by 'wet paint' card catalog and order by using the complimentary colors for your original crystal color order e.g. I had BRY crystal order, so for the second 12 scrolls I'd use RYB i.e., BRY=POG=RYB ).

This yields 2 strings of 12 scrolls and I have located all but 4 so far.

note1: to get original color pattern back, just throw away crystal 2 and get crystal 1 from chef put in mini-city and copy down order... etc.

note2: to eliminate multiple scrolls with the same symbol, just find the one unique scroll shape for your scrolls (need to crossreference every duplicate with every other color e.g., I had to compare 2 red Bens against 5 yellow Ras (find matching scroll type) then compare 12 blue Ahns to find the one that matched to both the red and yellow shapes available.

note3: if no scroll for color symbol exists my theory my already be wrong (going to search for final four... one click, two click... red click, blue click... )
EDIT: There should be at least one scroll for each symbol/location on the card catalogs or else they're invalid. (note3 doesn't apply and I found all my scroll locations, just haven't finished reading them).

Yeah. Strange. Next I'll read the first crystal scrolls again, see if that helps..

It has been reported that if you read more scrolls after reading the 12 you are supposed to read.. it can potentially cause problems

Yeah, it worked! Now I have to wait till next light (...10 PM NST seems to be my only light hour..)

But anyway, if anyone has a problem getting the second crystal I suggest to read the scrolls again.

Was there a painless way of getting your 2nd crystal again after the Pant Devil strikes? I semi-recall a discussion regarding this a few threads back but I don't remember what the solution was. Please tell me I don't have to wander that dreaded place again to read scrolls. *Crosses fingers*

just go to the chef get your first crystal, go back to the temple, get your spike room, grab the crystal back out and your good to go, that is unless you have read any other scrolls since your eye message.. in which case you may have to get your eye message again before you can get your 2nd crystal back, im on my 3rd second crystal, first lost in SDB, 2nd stolen by grundo leader..... id try the spike room before i looked at the 12 scrolls for the eye message again though.. why go through all that if you dont have too

I hate this stupid scroll reading task. It's irritating and frustrating, and I can't figure it out. I think i'm doing everything right, but I don't get a message, so I obviously must not be.

I've organized my tablet into the three different colours.

Yellows: Saf, Saf, Kar, Kar.
Reds: Ahn, Nem, Fer, Ben
Blues: Tep, Ben, Tep, Ahn

Than I organized them into the colour sequence according to my crystal, and where the symbols show up in the catalogue.

IE) Yellow Saf, comes before Yellow Kar.
So than I made my whole list of which ones to go to, and in which order (yellow, red, blue.. like my crystal said)..

But it's not working.
I did it once, twice, re wrote and re-figured everything out, tried again, and again..
There must be SOMETHING i'm missing, but I can't figure it out!!
So help?

Read the scrolls in order of the Catalogue Card.

When you look at all 4 symbols in yellow - see what order they are in the Catalogue and read them in that order, same for blue and red.

Edit: I didn't read your post properly. You have already read them in catalogue order.

Are you sure of your symbol/colour combination?

Quite sure. Unless my light changed or something. I'm pretty sure it didn't though. I have it all mapped out

Does my crystal have to be in my inventory?

I had to read mine 3 times, because of some error. Probably forgetting where I was upto and missed a scroll or double read one. But I finally got the message.

You seem to be doing everything right. You might just have to try again.

EDIT: Are you reading all your yellow, then all your red, then all your blue?
