Because you don't get that color combination by mixing light, you get it by mixing paint. So maybe we should be mentally overlaying colors?

For instance, my old Card Catalogue order was BYR, and my new one is YRB.

B+Y=G
Y+R=O
R+B=P

so even though the first rack looks Yellow, i should be thinking of it as Yellow over Blue, and should look there for tablet symbol that lines up with the green light. And i would imagine I would be looking for a green scroll in that area.

That kind of hurt my head a little thinking about it.

Yes, here too, but something pleasurable I find about this theory. Maybe you are right that the whole Wet Paint thing is a clue (however which way), rather than an excuse for delay as I thought, but then we still need to know which colors of scrolls to ignore or not, how many and which order.

I like the paint theory. But in a different light. Maybe the blue scroll rack used to be red, the yellow blue....etc. So maybe we have to figure out what the blue one used to be, etc.

Ianb didn't look for secondary color scrolls and neither did dolphin.

That kind of hurt my head a little thinking about it.

My initial card catalogs were

Y B R

My new card catalogs are

Y R B

... Y P P? :)

I think I tried and failed to find a purple scroll in a given area I wanted to go to.

These are my first two light sequences.
So I figured my second crystal to be:

RBYRXBBYBYXYRXRX

I treated this combo the same as the first as did a lot of you, and got nothing, but I used the original crystal order. I'm wondering if I should try the card catalog order instead as all of the scrolls were there only once even in the smallish rooms.

Has anyone done this already?

I went and hunted in the first area i needed base on the "treat the yellow rack like its green theory", and there were no green Teps (the symbol i needed), but there WAS a Yellow one, which was the original scroll color I need on that spot in the tablet.

I'm going to head to the next spot and see if there's only one of the color/symbol scroll that was in that wall spot too.

(even as I type this, I can't imagine anybody understands what I'm saying. I'm hoping i'm WRONG just that I don't have to try and explain what i did.)

I just layered the images of my two catalog racks in photoshop, and after someone's comment above realized that I could do something. I made one layer slightly transparent, and flipped it horizontally. Voila, I now have Orange, Green, and Purple scroll racks. I'm going to play around a bit and see if I can order the scrolls and run through them.

edit:
Theory blasted, I have no Orange NEM scroll.

That's a pretty good idea, I don't think i've seen anyone post about re-doing an entire list rather than just the ones that have changed. Let us know how it goes!

Sort of, but not quite. I didnt used the scroll order that's there now. I used a different one.

But I do have another theory. If they painted the scroll racks, but not the scrolls, then the scrolls in the blue rack used to be in a different colored rack. So if you can remember what order your racks were last nite, this can be tested. If your first scroll rack is blue now, but was yellow last nite, when you go to look for your yellow symbols, use the blue rack!

Has anyone thought of this?

If you remember, tabbing on the last page of chaper 5 shows a link in the picture of the city fading away. I just checked and the first one is of the same tower that we put the chrystal in. I clicked on it and nothing happend...but then again, I am still looking for my second piece.

any thoughts on this?
*jumps up and down harder and bumps my idea to the end of the line..*

That's a great idea - I really like it. The problem I have is that I don't remember my original catalogue sequence! I'm probably not alone in this so how do we progress?

HELP!!! I have spent the better part of the day reading scrolls, now that I'm done i didnt get a message about a sharp eye. I read them all in order and i read every single one of them. Does the message show up as soon as you read the last 1? or do I go somewhere else to get the message. Please don't tell me I have to read them only during the hours of the light. I will never ever get them read my hours are when i take my kids to the school buses and get ready for work, and again as I am driving home from work and picking the kids up.

Question: Do all the scrolls have to be read in one sitting, or can you stop halfway through and pick it up again later?
