why does the tablet matter

those of you asking........light sequence of 16 , 4 blank.

16 symbols on your tablet. read tablet left to right, top to bottom
so 1234
5678
...etc

match colours to 1-16 on tablet.
so if your first colour on light sequence (reading left to right) is red 1st symbol on tablet = red. do for all 16. skipping out the symbols that match blank you should have 12 symbols, 4 each of blue yellow and red.

now look at your crystal, the first colour on it go look at that card key in the catalogue, ie if first colour is red open red catalogue. take the red symbols on your tablet and list them in order as they appear from top to bottom on catalogue. repeat with other two crystal colours.

now you have 12 colour/symbol sets in order of crystal colour and catalogue listing. read all 12 of the scrolls that match that colour/symbol/room area listing in the order you have them in. you should get the next clue.

My final symbol entered was not my fairy symbol or the symbol above the door to my fairy. I was successful.

What still has me confused is that it was said earlier that you will end on your fairy symbol. However, my last colour is Yellow and my symbol is FER which is First in my yellow section so I cannot possibly end on that.
