Lost Desert Plot Discussion #100 (Summary in First Post)

I've been a lurker for a while, but i've also had to do a lot of catching up. I've tried to read most of the posts, but I'm sure i prolly missed some, so I hope i'm not saying something that's already been said. I think our tablets have something to do with this, but not the order of the symbols on the tablet. I'm thinking that maybe it's the order of the missing symbols we had to find. Like my first symbol was the cup, and my color order is brxxbryrxbryxyby. So maybe I need to read sometihng from the desert fauna section???
I don't know, I was just looking at my pics I had saved and I realized we had to find 12 symbols and there are 12 colors on the wall.....
Well, I'm gonna try it out and see if anything happens.

just finished trying this and nothing happened. but maybe I was reading the wrong scrolls?? I decided to read only green nem(river??) scrolls cause nem is my faerie's symbol but I don't know why I chose green think I'll go to bed now, and try again later

Theory:

1. Match up the reflected colour light with the symbols on the back wall - use your index to work out which areas you need to go to in which order.
2. Use your tablet to work out what scroll to read in each area - reading left to right. Colour may or may not be important - maybe use the colours from the wall?

I'm attempting to prove/disprove this now but if someone else would like to try too, that'd be great.

I didn't even go and read the bookcases before I got my crystal/light thing happening.

I was already in the repository on the 2nd floor, and didn't go down/out.

hey what about this.. this morning, i gotten the light and the spots thing. then just now i went back and there's no light and i clicked the tip and the crystal just fly there. however, i did save the page i got in the morning. so i think what matters are the spots and not the light or not. just that u have to get the light first to get the spots.

THEORY:What about the dots on top of the crystal and then going in order left to right of the colours going to the scroll rack and then going to your statue symbols area and reading the scroll

so someone might have said this, but here's what i think it's safe to assume:

1. the colors line up with some set of symbols, most likely the tablet's, and we hafta use that information to find subjects at the 3 card catalogs

2. there's something we need to find or do in those areas in that order

here's something to ponder:
the colors of the scrolls on the racks are red, blue, yellow, white, green, purple, and orange

other than the white scrolls, the other colors are mixtures of the 3 primaries:
red + blue = purple
blue + yellow = green
red + yellow = orange

maybe this will play into it?

question: has anyone talked to the chef lately? has he changed the subject?

Okay, as far as I know you don't need to do any special clicking on scroll racks to get the light. I did a bunch of refreshing between 8 and 10 pm NST with no result - then logged on at 12:05 and there was the light!

For those of you keeping track:
SAF
Red, Yellow, Blue
yrbxyyrxbrryxxbb

Going to try and see what I can do in terms of tablet matching - going to see if I can find a SAF in each set of scrolls and click on that.

In paint RBY make black and I believe there is a black seal. In light those, same colors make white. Isn't there a white seal? Perhaps those blank spaces are white seals.

OK i tried what gemma58 suggested and i got the light first go.

I went back to the entrance (did not go out of repository) and clicked on the 3 coloured scroll racks in the order of my useless crystal (yellow, red, blue) standing in the middle square.

Then made my way to lvl 5 and down through the secret corridor to the room (instant light XD hooray!), placed my crystal on top of the sakmet model and the colour sequence showed up on the wall.

POSSIBLE BREAKTHROUGH!

Okay so I matched the colours to my mysterious tablet. Then off I went to the first location indicated by that match In this case it was the Sakhmetian Special Collections, Seti Room

There were 3 scroll racks in the room. After careful examination, only one of the scroll racks had a SAF (my Nuaria statue) scroll (it was purple).
So I clicked on that and got:

What an interesting scroll.

Your pet reads the scroll and hopefully learns something!

This being different from the "what a boring scroll" text, this could mean something! On to the next one!
