Okay here are some random musings....

1. In the small model room there is a border of symbols on the wall. What if the symbols are matched to the colours that appear when the crystal is inserted?

2. Matching the symbols to the colours maybe means that you have to find that symbol in the red, yellow and blue card catalogues.

3. Then go and read the corresponding scrolls?

My crystal is in place but no colours are showing. Maybe the people who have colours showing have done something the rest of us haven't?

The blue catalog room is the only room that has no symbols for me... Is this the same for everyone else?

They should all have symbols now. if not, try refreshing.

ok thanks for that...

EDIT: Screenies ar e up, but theory is not accurate. Not working for everyone.

LIGHT! Screenies and full direction in my siggy momentarily, but I read the scroll with the symbol and color of my faerie door) NOT the faerie statue to get LIGHT![/size]

Some people have a faerie behind a black door ... so they can't read that scroll.

My sister actually didn't read any scrolls directly prior to getting the rainbow so I'm not sure that's it.

Anyone who has the light: What's the URL of the flash file? You can find it by viewing source and searching for PARAM name="movie" (if there's more than one, it's the one related to the desert)

Also anyone who has the lights: There's 15 symbols on the back wall, but if you throw out the ones that are blank spots in the lights, do you get one of each symbol?

<PARAM name="allowScriptAccess" value="sameDomain" /><PARAM name="movie" value="http://images.neopets.com/desert/ldp/sr/mrflash/sr_mr_1b_9dc3b13cef.swf?c=xbxryryxxbryrybb" />

Another theory - The time of the "light" could be related to what symbol you are.

Aha! look at mine: <PARAM name="movie" value="http://images.neopets.com/desert/ldp/sr/mrflash/sr_mr_1a_5bbf68ff2b.swf" />

See the difference? 1a, 1b. Now just to test if changing it works

Hmm, that is interesting. So basically, the theory is that different symbols get the lights at different times?

Those of you who have them: what's your faerie symbol, and at what time (NST) did you get light?

I'm just here to say I refreshed at appx 6:30 where I got the light..
I believe the 10 minute refresh idea is the way to go.

i really don't think the sunlight has to do with what minute it is. i went at 3 times, refreshing several times, all between 5-6PM NST (5:20, 5:49, 5:55), and each time there was sunlight. then after 6, nothing. i definitely think it's hourly.

EDIT: my symbol is the sun
