You'll find a post including screenshots of the way they "were" here. Please let us know if you see anything different.

and u can get to it by clicking on the right side of the temple.

That just leads to the temple entrance.

Are you locked out of the temple? You may have to wait until a lock out is over. Other than that, I don't know why you wouldn't be able to click on the broken section on the right side of the temple and get to the gift shop.

I thought it would take you inside the temple... if you were inside... o_O Is that not right?

Sat Oct 22, 2005 7:38 pm

Well I got to it anyway, next time say that you had to be outside for it to work or wahtever conditions there are =/

Sat Oct 22, 2005 7:38 pm

OK
I got out for a couple of hours, but I am still short of 9 symbols :
I am a TEP
I am missing :
Blue Tep
Red Tep
Red Ahn
Yellow Fer
Yellow Nem
Yellow Kha
Red Djo
Blue Ben
Blue Lat

I've done scroll racks on 2nd, 3rd and 4th floor.

My question is for those who have nearly completed their 84 scrolls (7 colors and 12 symbols)
Did you have to go to all the floors to fill it?
I am hitting a snag here.

Oh the fact that we beat The Spirit only 12 times, does it have any factor?
What if those who have beaten The Spirit more often had more of a chance to find theire scrolls.

Also I didn't read all the scrolls in the temple. Is it a factor? It could be.

If there were only one of each scroll, then only one floor would be necessary. Keep up the good work. I'm impressed you got as far as you have.

The same is happening to me with the djo symbol.. Someone earlier said that there where blue djo's on the 1st floor but I searched high and low and as yet have not come across any.... I did find this though....

Has anyone any views on this...?

Well I read every scroll for my symbol in color order, according to this week's Lenny C. And Nothing. Note: I didn't pay any attention to the size of the scrolls I read. Perhaps when I get more motivated again I will go back and do the same exercise only with scrolls of the same size.

This also means I read scrolls for every color with my symbol. And Nothing.

The chef, who looks very familiar, glances at you as you enter. "Well, fancy meeting you here. Turns out they needed a chef for the cafeteria here, and as I was out of a job, they hired me on!" He twirls his rolling pin. "Unfortunately, I ain't gotten any shipments of food yet, so I can't make anything. Just some mislabeled boxes." He sighs. "This job is boring."

The chef scratches his ear. "Say, I heard something about you surviving an attack by a pile of scarabs. Boy, adventuring sounds like a good time. But I've been too busy working to take a vacation. I sure would like a souvenir from one of those, you know, exotic locales." He shakes his head and swings his rolling pin around absently.

I don't have a copy of the Chef's quote when he gives you the crystal. Does anyone?

Isn't there also 5 sizes? Wouldn't that make even more scrolls to read if you read one of each?

Yes, it is different. The 2 screenshots you directed me to show the stairs on the 1st floor (Unobtainable stair) that are totally blocked off and no way to get to them, and the hidded staircase on Level 5 that looks like an ordinary floor block. I'm talking about a new unobtainable stair on the second floor. I'll try to get a screenshot--I'm not real good at the images bit, bear with. But it is actually 2 unobtainable stairways on the 2nd floor, both of them located in the little room at Row 16, column 27. This room used to be accessible via a corridor to the north (top of map). The corridor is gone for me.

Sorry, I asumed you were outside when you said you were at the entrance, as that is what most of us call it. I appologize for the confusion.

But aren't you also discounting the different scroll sizes? There are actually 420 scrolls if you include all the variations in color, size and symbol. Although, I agree that they sizes haven't seemed to matter before (in the temple or with the actual item scolls), I am just wondering if it has any bearing on the theory you are tesing?

There is also this screenshot, as posted by Yunamaxieboytanda just above:

I can't find a good reason for the scrolls on the racks to be individualized like the temples are.... everything else inside the repo. has been the same for everyone... those librarians must have taken an extra long time to lay out the scrolls differently for everyone and I can't help shaking the feeling that there must be a reason for it...

It's screen shots of the 1st floor inaccessible staircase. The appearance of the room the staircase is in changes depending on where you "stand." Sometimes it looks like the stairs are in a 3 square by 3 square room. Stand in other parts of the nearby corridor or room, and the upperleft corner is no longer open, it's become a sandstone block--but a block that is clickable. Stand in one certain spot, and that sandstone block's image has become a broken image link. Weird.

Screen shot of the 2nd floor inaccessible staircases still a work in progress. Watch this spot for further developments.

One good reason would be so that we can't just say 'go here for the answer'. That could just be the precieved fairness at work. We each have the same features in our temples, just in different places. The repository has a general form and function, except personalized racks. It is just like the temple, except with a new puzzle.

It may just be a coincidence, but the hole pattern and shape of the Useless Crystal matches the plates used in lamalar armor (used by the Japanese and and also sometimes found in Europe). The plates are laced together through these holes to create flexible yet tough armor.

Random history tidbit for the day. :P

If that *is* the case, I call dibs! :D
