Yes, I believe there are more of them on the dragon. Also in Chapter 5. We are hoping they become active soon, or maybe we must do something to make them so? o_O

EDIT: We have had to play the games left in the Desert so far (to get some parchments), except for Swarm and Sutek's Tomb. Anyone think we have to use them for something? Or are they just very popular? I still wonder where Word Pyramid is located. Must be in the alternate dimension?

Since so many of the Illustrations from the TCG cards have been showing up, I decided to look up the cards and see if I could find any clues there.

The card Forgotten Promise looks similar to the scroll on the last page of the comic in Chapter 2, but the mark on the seal is different. On the card, the original scroll is translated to "I hearby decree a royal wedding between my daughter, the first Princess of Sakhmet, and His Highness, the Prince of Qasala."

Qasalan Tablets is the only card whose picture doesn't open, at least for me. Could there be a plot related reason that card won't open?

It was determined that it is a typo in the link (but who also knows if that was on purpose or not?).

Anyone noticed today's McDonald's Daily Giveaway is a Cobrall Dagger? There is a TCG Card for that too. Should we all save ours? Might need it to fight Jazan's army later or something?

Afternoon everyone!

Nothing new, eh? Ah well...

I had another idea...

Our translations might hold the key. We might be reading it wrong, and our current translations might be a jumbled up message.

Does anyone know what all the translation combinations are?

These are all the boxes on that particular picture in the comic:
-entire picture
-smaller square inside picture
-small box over right wing, right arm, and sky
-mouth and nostrils
-right arm and back

;)
Wonder why so many?? Perhaps they're already activated but must be clicked in a certain order or at a certain time?

You don't give it money, you have to wish for the Hieroglyph Fragment. Make sure you're spelling it right, though!

Just took some notes from the comic, to get us all thinking together (sorry if some of it is no news to you, some things were posted for newcomers):

Beyond the Haunted Woods, lies the Lost Desert.

Tomos says, "We must be under the ruins" (referring to what appears to be the Temple to us).

The Flooding Chamber, the Spike Trap, and the Unsolveable Riddle are all in the Temple of 1,000 Tombs; the Temple must be in Qasala.

The Desert Ruins are in Qasala, outside of Sakhmet (which has not disappeared, but transported to an alternate dimension). Qasala is an ancient, dead city, with an unfufilled prophecy.

The Undead have limited vision; and can be defeated with "heavy blunt weapons" (such as furniture).

Nabile seems to think the answer to lifting the curse (and freeing both Jazan and Sakhmet) is in "the library," "the dusty room" full of "scrolls and texts." So, where is the Armoury Tomos is in?

Nabile translates from the Qasalan Tablets: "When true love unites, Qasala will live again."

Tomos finds the Ring of the Lost and evokes the Spirit of the Ruins.

Nabile finds a Grappling Hook (TCG: "The modern thief has to think in three dimensions, not just two.") and pulls herself and Tomos out of a Spike Trap.

Who is the Desert Kougra in Chapter 10 (Part 2/4) that says, "She could end this all now, and I can return to my family!" (referring to Amira accepting Jazan's proposal)?

Who and where is Megan? (TCG: "The footsteps behind her were much louder now. She had to find the wand soon, or everything would be lost.") Is she also in the Temple of 1,000 Tombs?

Does the wand Megan seeks refer to the Sceptre of Qasala? (TCG: "...and the spirits danced and sang all throughout the night. The curse would soon be broken.")

Finally, how were the Tonu Palace Guards (TCG: "The Royal Family is rarely troubled by unwanted guests.") so easily bribed by Jazan when he first entered Sakhmet? Is one of them an imposter?

8th, the Repository, who knew what when: We all know the repository exists. We have all been there. But why hasn't it been mentioned in the comic? Simple. It is top secret. Sure the fortune teller knows about it, but she could have easily bribed to get the if or have been a plant. Amira never mentions the repository since it is 'black budgeted'. It is not on the main budget and therefore does not exist. Seeing the scope of the project and the workers rights violations from the foreman, we can easily tell why this would want to be kept secret. If the civilian population found out about the money spent and rights violations, they would, at the very least, want answers on the existance of such a place. Once public gains knowledge of the repository, it would be a fiasco for Amira and government. There would have to be oversight and regulation. Since a lot of LDPBs and other rare items were given out, there would be questions on wasteful spending. It is smart of Amira not to mention the repository by now. It would be politically disasterous to have this information come out. A civil revolt and an invasion at the same time would crush the Sakhmet leadership and guarantee Jazn victory.

The sceptre of qasala really makes me think, I took a look at the megan tcg: Image
The hair reminds me of the fortune teller. Siblings? Or maybe SHE is amira's sister(being an aisha and all)

That looks like Jazan's hand, so what if that sceptre can control minds or something? To make Amira love him?

See, I don't think Jazan is a bad guy, really. He is just cursed and seeking to release himself and his city and people from that.

I wonder who promised her to begin with? Her father, the King? If so, why? Who cursed Jazan and why?

I think we should focus on breaking the curse instead of "defeating" Jazan in some way? After all, even Nabile is sympathetic and wants to break the curse to bring Qasala back as well as Sakhmet.

EDIT: Maybe Word Pyramid is located in Qasala? Not Sakhmet? Will TNT add a new land to the Lost Desert perhaps?

EDIT 2:

Kind of makes you wonder who is worse. I always wondered why Amira didn't care about her own common folk (even in the comic it is evident).

Maybe the sceptre is the source of Jazan's power. The coming war could be to get the sceptre to defeat Jazan.

The card's ability and flavor text mentions curses. The sceptre could be used, as suggested, to fake the 'true love' part of the curse and free Jazan. I think the spirits don't really realize this, but Jazan is the only one that doesn't look undead. Unless breaking the curse allows the spirits to regain their bodies and rebuild their city, Jazan would be the only Qasalan left. I think losing his entire people would make Jazan madder than having them just be undead. Either way, we have to get rid of Jazan to truely end the war.

He could be a noble or some other upperclass citizen. He obviously cares more for his own welfare than the welfare of his people, which leads us to...

9th, Amira's Intensions: Sure she seems to care more about herself by not giving herself over to Jazan, but that could be good for the people in the long run. As evidenced at the end of Comic 10, the people have started to fight back and repel Jazan's invasion. It is not until he calls in reenforcements that the civilians are in a bad way again. It is always hard for a leader to be judged right on controversial decisions at the time they happen. By not giving in to Jazan, Amira gave the Scarabs time to come up with a way to defeat the zombies. Sure that brings the wrath of Jazan, but the army could still rally back. By not giving in, Amira could also have doomed her people. It won't be until this plot is over that we know if she made the right choice. Jazan could really be a good and effective leader that does not waste public funds on top secret installations run by a cruel foreman. Amira is not to be judged until after the plot. If her side wins, she has the task of rebuilding, but it will prove her decisions right. If she loses, it will be up to Jazan to make the next move.
9.5th, Jazan's Leadership: Judging by the fact that he has only sent troops into conflict with barely any commands, he is not that effective a military leader. He also seems to be ruled by his emotions. Instead of a rational act of courtship, he just barged in and made demands. He gave Amira a chance, but was rejected. After being scorned, he proptly phase shifts the city and takes his rage out on innocents. After his zombies fall, he takes his rage out via the two-headed Scorchio. That does not show good leadership ability. It seems to be very wise of Amira not to give in. If she turns control of the nation to a loose cannon, they could end up in pointless wars in far off lands. I back all of Amira's decisions to now. She has always reflected on her decisions and stood behind them to the end. She is also willing change her mind when given the chance (at least I hope she is). That is the kind of leader needed. One that can lead and give orders but still think and change her mind if there is obvious flaws in the strategy.
