This round, unlike the previous round, was relatively easy. Being something that most people like, as well as being visually pleasing, provided many creative ideas. To me, this round especially has shown off the creative talents of certain people.
_jade_em_-A Mouthwatering Exquisity
I looked this up in my dictionary, then Googled it, then checked Dictionary.com, and I'm almost positive Exquisity isn't a word. I know there aren't any rules against making up words, but it just sounds too awkward to really look good on this set. I think 'A mouthwatering delight', or 'An exquisite _____' would have worked so much better.
.:Compact Disk:.-Perfect in the Morning *fade* Perfect in the night.
This is an okay subtext. I think it's a tad long, but that's just because I gravitate towards short subtexts. I know what you're going for, and it's a good idea, but I think more focus on being a perfect morning would have had more impact. Still, a solid effort.
.:Requiem:.-Delectable Delight
Oooh, alliteration!
I really like this one. It's descriptive, it's short, (which scores very high with me) and it matches the image. Good job.
Ammer-A Chocolate Delight
I'm not as fond of this one, since it's slightly less poetic, but it does describe the picture quite well.
Anoohilator-Everybodies little Pick-me-Up
Not being an English major, I couldn't tell you if an apostrophe should be somewhere in the word 'Everybodies' or not, so I'll choose to ignore it. I think this is kind of an average subtext, mainly because it's so generic. You could use this to describe a cup of coffee, a piece of chocolate, a cute animal, ect., ect. It's good, of course, but it's not exclusive to the image.
dargonz-They don't call me chocolate for muffin!
Oh, my gosh. That's a horrible pun, and I love it. I smiled the first time I read it, and I've smiled every time after that I thought about it. The style of the sig could easily lend itself to a faux-humorous feel, and this is just so unique that I think it's my favorite of the whole set.
Divine-I know I'm sweet, but you don't have to eat me!
I know you were going for a humorous subtext, but for some reason this doesn't seem to fit as well. It's very cute, though.
DM was on fire!-Devil's Food
To me, the phrase 'Devil's Food' makes me think of a much darker chocolate, and I don't think the muffin or the set is really 'dark and tempting'. Maybe if this were, say, a chocolate cake with dark chocolate icing dripping down the sides.
Khristian-Food of the Gods
It's good. Whenever people say that, they're always trying to convey that the food is wonderfully delicious. It makes the reader think the muffin is really good, and looking at the picture sure made me crave a chocolate muffin.
matterbug-Heaven is one bite away.
This is a good subtext, but for some reason it just doesn't 'pop' for me. Even though it's the same idea as Khristians, this more made me think 'No muffin could be that good', rather than 'I'd love a chocolate muffin right about now'. Like I said, though, this IS a good subtext.
paperfacesX022-Cupcakes pwn you
You were going for something different than everyone else, and I commend you for that. However, I think this picture is 'Look at the delicious muffin', and not 'Cupcakes rule!'.
pattypus-Chocolaty Goodness
Yep, it's chocolaty goodness, all right. It matches the image well, and the feel of the image, but it's not quite as descriptive as I'd like. Maybe 'Taste the chocolaty goodness' or something similar. This is a rare subtext in that I'd like it to be a little longer.
Stephanie-A little taste of heaven
After the Philadelphia Cream Cheese discussion, I would have actually liked to see you change this. But since Robert didn't say anything about it, I'll simply judge it on its own merits. I think it is a good subtext, well-matched to the picture, and it achieves its goal of making the reader want a chocolate muffin.
the_dog_god-Delectable Desserts
Again, alliteration.
I like the idea, but the desserts part is actually a little boring. I know 'Delectable Delight' was already taken, but I would have liked to see something that was a little more descriptive.
VeraX-The real treat is inside.
I actually like this one, although it's a tad awkward. What I think it does is tie Dawn to the muffin. Like 'If you get to know Dawn, you'll discover all of her good, inner qualities, just like the sweetness of this muffin.'
Wind-Eat Me
I think it's a good subtext. It's not really what I would put, but it's not bad.
