Yes, this happened to me. 
I'm the random event QUEEN, good ones, bad ones, Stupid ones. I PROMISE on an average day I get about 3 Faerie Quests, 2 free codestones or other items usually 1 or 2 random pointless RE's and a couple of bad ones, I wish the bad ones would just stick to having the ghosts steal 100np for the tree, or 5k to quiet the Kadoaties. LOL
