After seeing the release of the Ice Draik on Draik Day in September, I have been wanting to turn my kau into one. Really, really bad. At first I thought I could simply use a Transmogrification Potion to turn my Kau into a Draik, then wait around for a Fountain Faerie Quest and paint it Ice, but it turns out that you can't get Ice from the Fountain Faerie. And since there's no Ice Paint Brush, the only way I could possibly get an Ice Draik is by transmogrifying my kau into a draik, and lab it until it turns into Ice. If there was a species change, I could simply buy another Draik Transmogrification Potion...but that would cost millions upon millions of NP if it changed species multiple times. I have the NP to do this, but I'd rather have found another alternative. Recently the Plaid Negg was recommended to me. I discovered that the Plaid Negg can change a pet's color...but can it change it to Ice?

So, my question is...

Can a Plaid Negg change the color of a pet to Ice?

Also, Is there any item that can change my pet's color but not its species?

Unfortunately, the Plaid Negg can only change your pet to one of the four basic colours. I can't think of any item that does what you're looking for...
