Well guys, we have JKR's word that Mark Evans is no one special :(

Go to http://www.jkrowling.com, then click on the Paper Clips, then click on the envelope that says 'About the Books' and a menu should come up. Put your mouse on that paper beside the main paper, and another menu should come up. Click on FAQ Poll, and you should see what she says.

I'm kinda disappointed :(

But she jokes about the title of book 7. lol

I was just so sure Mark Evans was a deliberate red herring. Too much faith in JKR's extreme plotting, I suppose. Galadriel Waters must have done something to me.

Actually, the part that had me rolling in my seat was the "Ha ha! Mark Evans is the key to the whole trilogy! He's the Half Blood Prince! He's Harry's Great-Aunt! He's the Heir of Gryffindor! He lives up the Pillar of Storge! He owns the Mystic Kettle of Fendersnack!" Oh wait, that was right before the joke about the title... well, actually, the whole thing was pretty funny.

Hahaha I was howling with laughter (okay not really) as soon as I read the part about fake passports. Hahaha.

But this is awesome. Like 1/3 of all the theories are now down the drain.

Well, off I go to Galadriel Waters' forum to see her reaction!

That right there is exactly why I read speculation. It's always good for a laugh or two. :P

I think there might be something in the sixth book about the Mirror Sirius gave Harry. I mean, there's got to be something more to it than looking at it, saying Sirius, nothing happening, talking to Sir Nicholas about ghosts... Right?

Galadriel Waters has a forum?! I didn't know about this! You mean I don't have to send her snail mail to tell her that she's completely lost it seven times out of ten? (At least that's what I gathered from her "New Clues to Book Five", not owning the Ultimate Guide... maybe I'd reduce it to four times out of ten if she doesn't constantly drop references to "running bits".)

J.K. Rowling stated both on World Book Day and on her website that yes, the mirror would play a future role. In books six and seven. And it seems to be for the better, as she said "it will help more than you think". Oh I don't think it's that way - don't you think security on the DoM would be increased a teensy bit after what happened when Voldemort was revealed? I'm clueless as to what it might be, but knowing JKR it's probably more intricate than a secure communication between Harry and the Order.

Good God you people are weird. Why don't you just wait for the book to come out, instead of following wild-goose chases around J.K. Rowling's website? Do you all have nothing better to do?

... Maybe because we like the challenge of finding clues and piecing them together. That's usually what fans of something do. Try and figure out what's coming next and theorize about it.

How about this, I'll do what I want to, and you do what you want to, and we won't say anything about it :P Haven't your parents ever told you the saying - 'If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all'?

I'm guessing the HBP is Ron... Wait, he can't.. It's Dudley, remember, his mom's sister is a witch, so the witch blood could be running through her veins...

If Harry uses the mirror to actually talk to Sirius again, I will be incredibly upset. If you're gonna kill a character off, really kill him off- don't make him come back again in a different book!

I kinda agree. As much as I liked Sirius, he's gone. I don't think he should come back at all.

I want Sirius back. I don't care how corny or cheezy it might be, but I really miss him. He's my favorite character period.
