I agree, I really liked the old version, even if the graphics were a little worse, and the grarrl was horrible, it was, in my opinion, technically better.

Man, I love the new pterattack. Just upgrade the fire weapon as far as it can go and you will pwn those pterodactyls. Easy 3k.

Edit: Though I agree it lags quite a bit as the pterodactyls start raining upon you.
