If you go to the main temple page and click the temple window on the right side of the image it is linked to the Gift Shop.

Actually, the first time I clicked on it it took me to the entry hall of my Temple, so I thought that was all it did -- but apparently that was just because that's where I already was, getting ready to explore a little more because (though I've found my libraries, "statue," and tablet pieces) I realized there are a half-dozen doors I haven't found yet.
Now that I exited, however, I'm seeing the Gift Shop of 1,000 Trinkets. That Ruki reminds me of the Wheel of Monotony Flotsam.
You don't suppose there's going to be a Neopiaquake that reveals a hidden stairway to more rooms, do you? After all, we're shy by about 708 tombs.

I really have no idea, I discovered it today but it could have been there since the beginning... who knows.

I think
1) the gift shop is probably as (in)accessible as the rest of the Temple, based on my going right to my entry hall when I first tried.
2) it must have been released just recently, since we'd have heard of it before otherwise.
3) it's quite likely that there won't be any items until the plot (puzzle and battle) is done, after which it will be where we redeem our plot points for our prizes, a la the Maraquan war.
