Lost Desert Plot Discussion #34 (Split- Summary in 1st Post)

I actually got the gains insight when I read the proper scroll, and I was quite afraid I'd not be able to gain access to get sand... But lo and behold I was able to.

This was from the last split. You might have mis-read the sentence (as I did the first time). It says something like: " Your pet understands the scroll and gains a little insight".

This is what I was saying. It may be possible to read the scroll matching your statue's symbol and not receive the "understood" and "gained a little insight" message. I believe you may have to visit the statue just prior to reading the scroll to get that message. Ex. If you visit your statue, then read a different scroll, then read the scroll matching the statue's symbol, you only receive the "gains a little insight" message. Similar to the way you can read the scroll matching your statue's symbol, then read a different scroll and not be allowed into the repository.

Based on this, I was curious to see if the "understood" message was required to get into the repository, and asked

Has anyone gotten into the repository without getting the understood message?

I was thinking here and i saw the repository's banner.. I know every banners in neopets.com have a thing written on it, but maybe this banner could be a clue?

All we're doing is unburying the place since that sandstorm covered it up.

EDIT: Agility is the move stat. Under defence.

What I am saying is that she misread the sentence, as I don't believe she got into the repository without the understood message.

I had read my scroll prior to the repository and got the understood message, but as I had read other scrolls, I did need to read the scroll again and I still got the understood message.

You must have missed it its already all over this thread It's just a riddle. Hints about it are in the LC help thread. It doesn't appear to have anything to do with the plot other than the riddle referring to plot stuff.

easier way to check your stats. click your pets name on the neopets menu up top

This may be because I didn't have time yesterday to read what evderyone posted, but did anyone else notice the trail of footprinst in the top right corner of the Loast Desert map? I know this is probably old news, but I'm quite slow at noticing things.

Edit: Duh I know that is the repository. I just noticed the footprints for the first time. Geez, some of you have very high horses!

I think one theory may be that you have to have visited your statue directly before reading the correct scroll. As in you can't have read any other scrolls in between visiting the statue and reading the statue scroll. Not sure if that has been confirmed though
