Wow, so expressing my opinion about the stupidity of random avatars is whining now? And here I thought whining was saying "I neeeeeeed that avatar right noooooow and I'll never get it! TNT is so meeeeeeeean! I'm going to go listen to emo music and cry!" ;)

I have the Tooth Faerie avatar and the Dr. Sloth random one. I still think RE avatars are stupid.

The best avatars are the ones that require skill (I'm proudest of my Meepit Juice Break one), or time (Illusen and Jhudora's quests, any equipped petpet one), or doing something clever (taking bread to the Volcano and getting the toast avatar; collecting orange items, codestones, or dung items) or good timing (the concert hall ones, deadly dice), or solving a puzzle (the temple of 1000 tombs, I saved Mystery Island), or fighting (Black Pteri, the exploding lupe), or winning a contest (Lenny C, Random Contest). Even some of the "luck" ones are okay -- because you know that if you finally land on 1000 on the Wheel of Excitement or your poogle wins in Poogle Racing, you'll get your avatar. I just think RE avatars are stupid. They require no skill, they're way too uncommon (how many people here have the snowager one or the treasure hunt one, seriously?), and they're just no fun.

I agree that they're not as bad as the ones that cause massive PB/morphing potion/Draik egg inflation, but that's another "whine." ;)

The Lost Tomb is also random on top of random. Hard enough winning a prize, but even if you get a prize, might not get the avatar.

That one is annoying. I was talking about the Temple of 1000 Tombs. That one rocked. :)

Ok, ok Cran, maybe whine wasn't the best word, but people always complain after something goes on with avatars. Yeah...I should have said complain, not whine. Sorry. :(

Gah...I think I better shut up late nights on forums, I seem less focused.

Your emo comment reminds me so much of gameFAQ it's not funny....seriously.

:( The worst random avatars are Edna and Cellblock.

Edna, it varies way too much from person to person.
My friend took 3 quests, I've done over 500 without a result.
I've even heard stories up into the 1000's, that's about 350 times more.

Cellblock, again, it varies way too much. I'm on tourney 18, which requires skill to get there. The people who can follow a guide up to 6, then get the avatar. That annoys me. And when I display my avatar, it shows no difference in skill.

I think avatars like that should be fixed, say, when you view a gold Cellblock trophy, or your 100th Edna quest, or something like that.

I got this on the first try, and am happy for that.

I was told by [someone-reliable,TNT person] that there's a pattern to edna's madness. But of course.. no one has figured it out yet :P

As for cheese roller.. 3 more attempts today failed to yield avatar! :D

It's quite the opposite for me.

I actually got very close to 60 seconds today, but not quite close enough still, I guess. :P

I got 60 seconds twice today...no avatar again, but man, my pet is loving his mutant cheese. :D Maybe he'll turn mutant eating so much of it.

BTW, I found just flipping between "hold the cheese steady" and "dive left/right" to keep me from losing the most points. Using the other two choices seem to always cause a crash. =/ I dunno if this will work for other, but that's helping me.

Same here...the first day I played it I managed to win twice (under 60 sec.) but no avatar, and I haven't been able to win at all since. Although on one of the 2 times I won I actually got it in 40 some seconds and got on the high score board, though not enough for a trophy.

Edit: I finally managed to win one more time but still no avatar.

I got under 60 seconds two times, today, and no avvie.

I got it by doing the warty blue cheese trick, mentioned earlier in this thread.

This avvie is gonna cost me alot, i bet.

Congrats on getting such a great time!!

I'll have to try the dive and hold method and see if that works. Everytime I summersalt or go faster my pet growls at me :(

With this method I have won three times in less than 60 seconds over the last two days. Still no avatar. I had never won before. Ever!

Worked only once for me. And didn't get me the avatar. :(

Oh well, try again tomorrow I guess.
