Got it? Good.

Who is that directed towards Ahotein?

Does it really matter who it was directed at? It was a statement in general. And a warning. It is not something to be questioned. And it stands there for all to see.

Don't insult people.

p.s It's "Ahoteinrun" or "Inrun" not "Ahotein"

drums fingers, fidgets, twitches, finds other things to do, twitches again.

I want to go on the site, I didn't get there yesterday and I'm starting to have serious withdrawal. :P It's now a little after 4 p.m. in California (NST). Is there any information that this problem has been taken care of or should we all just wait until tomorrow to even think about logging in. Just curious *twitches some more*

I'm freaking out. I only found out about this today when I read it in the neodaq boards and I was ( and I am ) really scared, I changed my password and logous. I will only login again tomorow to do my dailies. Anyway, I think that if you go on the site just to check the new, there is no trouble.
I just don't want to get my account frozen, because isn't that what happens to the accounts that are 'hacked'?

It's possible

But yeah, as long as you do things that don't involve another user, I would imagine you would be safe. Just proceed with extra caution when cruising around the site...

yes, just be careful. There's no reason to really freak out. Just don't go out buying stuff off the shop wizard and such. Playing the site as normal by yourself won't hurt you though.

This is really really scary. I've been off PPT for a few days. When will this get fixed? Does Adam still visit here? O_O;

Exactly - you should be safe on most of the Neopets site, but have to be careful when you visit parts of the site customized by the users (ex: user shops, user galleries, pet descriptions, pet lookups, user lookups).

I think it's gone.

I'm not sure how the little alert he was posting is indicative of a cookie grabber being useable on np.

Hmmn, that does seem kinda fishy. I would be extra cautious of "good deals" anyone who tries to entice you into their shop in any way could be a scammer at a time like this.

Personally I closed ALL things on my account: neomail, invites, challengs, anything where a user could input data. If they could get a malicious script into their lookup or shop(which is a thing I once thought impossible) then I make no presumptions about their ability to place illegal scripts elsewhere on the site.

Well, from my sources, they've said that, according to the original "hacker", TNT has fixed the exploit that he used.

So... I believe you can go about your normal duties safely. :)

My friend's account is unfrozen and the items are back in her inventory.

The details:

She went to a shop with good deals. Did not buy anything or go off site. Got a browser warning of outdated / incorrect certificate. E-mailed me about it. When she returned to her inventory, items were missing. She self froze and filled out neo-forms reporting it.
