You know what I really think this hacker business is really about... Notice, they didn't draw attention to themselves until after TNT would have left the offices. It seems like they were trying to scare everyone off the site just before they suspected a clue might be released, so that they would have less competion in figuring it out. Just a possiblity

I tend to agree :( I have been searching pet pages, userlook ups and shops... nothing happened to me... Now I have said that I have probably tempted fate lol

Hmmmm has anyone considered that the tablet may be a map? Maybe you have to go into your riddle rooms in the order of the symbols on the tablet? I would try, but I'm at work and I very stupidly left my map at home

Would you read the tablet up to down or accross. I heard that egyptians read up to down

Egyptians wrote and read any ol' way they wanted, with the direction of the symbols indicating which way the passage was intended to be read. These are Sakhmetians however, not Egyptians. I would assume left to right just out of convention, though the fish and duck suggest right to left as a possibility. I don't think it's up to down.

Sounds like a good idea. I'm currently lock out of my temple for another 30 min or so but I'll try it and report back. Smile

EDIT: Tried it and as you may have guessed, just another trap.

Maybe you have to follow the map through all 16 rooms for something to happen? A bit of a long shot (time-wise), but we haven't got much better to do at the moment.

Someone asked earlier about the plot in other languages. I've had the same idea and checked the German version. The answer is: The plot is not translated. The comic is, but the fortune teller speaks English; I haven't tried the tomb, but posts on the German message board suggest that the tomb is in English as well.

That doesn't sound like fun. :P I think I'll just sit it out for a while.

In dutch the plot is fully translated. The fortune teller speaks dutch and all the hints are in dutch as well. But I can't see how that would be of any help to us.

Blame it on the boogie!

In dutch, for as far as I can see, the whole plot is translated, including the fortune teller and the temple. Apart from that, there are no more clues I can find on the site that aren't there in english as well.
(time to switch the site back to englisch, after 4 years of playing in english, neopets in dutch sounds just too silly ;) )

"Temple of 1,000 Tombs

The door slams shut behind you and you hear a shuffling noise. Out of the dark comes an enormous blob of jelly! It looks like it's devoured greater adventurers than you. You hope you can keep out of its grasp until you figure a way out of here.."

Searching for the Statue of Nuria - 8/12

Four more doors to go!!

Anyway... after I found the statue, I'm planning to read all of the scrolls. ;)

Agreed, nothing's different Dutch (apart from the silliness). I tried Spanish and German too, no luck. I DID find out that 'fortune teller' in French is 'diseur de bonne aventure': speaker of good adventures. Ain't that the truth. (sarcasm meter explodes)

Found this in the Neopedia entry on Sutek's Tomb:

Quote:
After Neopian archaeologists uncovered Sutek's Tomb, a horde of theories and speculations surfaced about "the lost Geb culture."

"Someone built the Gebmids," Sarina Salen, the world famous Aisha archaeologist said. "And I'm going to find out who did it." Even now she's down in the Tomb puzzling out the strange locks and puzzles left behind by whomever build the mysterious Gebmids.

Is it just me or is everyone else getting frustrated too? After I get this faerie...I just won't know what to do with myself.
After spending hours on this mission...i hit a dead end...

Not everyone can be heros, somebody has to sit at the curb and clap as they go by...

Maybe I'll start playing with my Temple's Tombs again.

timing. Something I think about is. Neopets "releases" or makes available things on their own schedule. So something we try today may not work, but it may work tomorrow when TNT kind of "turns it on". It makes it hard to try something, fail and forget about it. You may have to try it again.

Similar to a new avatar that has been announced, but not activated yet. You can try for days with no chance of getting it until TNT makes it activated.

I agree, but with those long waits I doubt if we have to try everything again.
