ok here it goes:

Obviously, at the statue if you speak the prophecy you will have completed the quest and win something --> I can't imagine them coming with an even bigger goal.

Also I think the tablet MUST hold the prophecy --> I can't imagine a better and more logical place to put a prophecy in, then a million year old tablet we had to search.

Which makes me wonder on the loose ends:
- the scrolls
- the reading/understanding scrolls
- the icon under the faerie that is different for everybody (means it has a purpose!)
- and how to find the tranlation for the tablet

Obviously at some point, the statue quest and the tablet quest must cross paths because otherwise it wouldnt make any sense..

Now...from here on i'm just guessing:

everybody will have a different prophecy, just like everybody has an unique temple, tablet and riddle. The prophecy doesn't have to make any sense, it can be like a joke of king skarl....random generated, just so it works only for you (to prevent people copy pasting the winning prophecy and causing millions of winners).

On another note, the scrolls have been put in the temple for a reason...

My biggest guess ever is something along the lines of:
perhaps your pet should read the scrolls of the images on your tablet, but only in a certain sequence...just like we grabbed all the hieroglyphs, (from paper to rock to bori to fortuneteller and all the way back to paper again etc etc) perhaps the same goes for the faerie statue?

they don't put stuff in the maze for no good reason...

yeah, but neopets makes up their own worlds, languages and rules.

So whatever they did thousends of years ago has in no way be the same here.... For all we know in the lost destert they read in circles, going from outside to inside

Also what I found out:
the sign on my statue = the sign on the door of where I found my statue...

I can't remember seeing that in the opening post as being told "to be normal".

So:
- am I the only one with 2x the same symbol (door of statue & statue?), if so...never mind

- If not: the sign at the statue doesn't mean anything I think, nor does the scroll thing.

I have same symbol on my statue and the door leading to it, but you're the only other person so far that also does. I'm pretty sure that's just random.

Thanks for those who commented on the "understands" versus "reads". I think my problem was that I was just quickly reading it and missing the "understands". I originally thought "understands" replaces "gains insight".

Now on for some theories. As previously mentioned, someone suggested that there were twelve statues. I had the same thought...one which I tested today with the yellow ducky scroll (that's the technical term I choose to use ). My map had 4 yellow doors with ducks...unfortunately, no additional statues. One thing that might be worth noting is that the seal on the scroll does match the color of the door of my faerie statue. Has anyone else noticed this?

I think it was last week's editorial that mentioned that Brucey B was going to be somehow implicated in this story line. Does anyone know anything about Brucey B's lucky coin? Some of the symbols on the coin seem to refer at least partially to some of the symbols on our tablet. Was there any professors in that storyline that might come into play here for translation purposes?

I doin't have the door symbol match the statue symbol, but with the number of players, the odds of door and statue having matching symbols is not that bad. It is just probability

true true, yet I am suprised that 2 other people said they had the same...

But...I only needed 1 person that had something else to prove my theory wrong, which you just did so we can now conclude the symbol on the statue definatly means something (--> It does not resemble the door, and it is random --> thus important for the puzzle)

I would be another person who's door symbol doesn't match the statue symbol. I would also agree that the symbol is somehow important.

One thing that I would like to know is whether everyone has the same faerie statue. Mine is the Fire Faerie with the little "R" symbol at the base. Perhaps the type of faerie has something to do with the next step? Any comments on this possibility or has that already been put to rest in earlier threads.

Yay, i finally found my statue(saf btw with set as the door), now am am completely caught up except I havent read any scrolls, but I dont think I want too. meh.

everybody has different symbols at the base of their statue...

I had the Ahn symbol (see link) earlier in this topic I saw somebody posting an image with a different symbol...

Also... check this site http://idb.finalhit.org/ They show 13 scrolls, the 13th one is pink.... mistake or something we dont know about?

That would be the scroll given out from the LC. It's filename has "etc" in the place where the others have symbol names, so I do not think it is connected.

the 13th scroll from the indepth battlepedia site, is from a picture from 1 of the traps in the tomb, the 1 where gas comes in and u pass out, they probably copy pasted it from that pic

Well, it does seem to be in that trap picture ... but is indeed the prize from the Lenny Conundrum last week.

I also don't think it is needed for anything. There are only 250 of them around!
