I think I finally finished mapping out my temple.. which is good because I spent most of my day on it.. aside from a break every now and then to rest my eyes. x.x

I'd just like to say thanks to the people who posted up their maps and posted how to make one. I'd still be clueless if it weren't for you all.

Now to wait for my next tablet piece. x.x

Can anyone confirm that with a completed tablet, you still need to wait 12 hours after reading a scroll? Just considering perhaps it's a shorter wait with a finished tablet

Also - Does anyone have a physical scroll they received from a RE? I haven't seen them. Do they coincide with symbols from the temple? Could there be a connection there?

Nope, the good old 12 hour wait still applies..

Okay, what I did so far:
1. Found Statue
2. Read scroll with corresponding symbol (pet "understood")
3. Mapped temple, completed tablet
4. Went back to library and read scroll with statue symbol again. Pet no longer "understood".
5. Went back to statue.

Since I don't expect a clue to turn up in the next 12 hours, I just went and tried again...with the same scroll. The result is that my pet now understands the scroll again! This is weird. I guess you have to do *something* in exactly the right order ... statue -- scroll -- ??

EDIT: The alternative theory, of course, would be that my pet has a severe memory problem. :D

If there is an exact order, then we have all failed it. There are really too many things to do to get an exact order correct.

For me it was:

1. Found statue - Ra symbol (first door, actually!)
2. Mapped temple
3. Read Fer symbol scroll, since the Ra one wasn't there. (read, not understood)
4. Completed tablet
5. Returned to fairy statue.
6. Read Ra scroll (understood)

I don't think it's random. The "understanding" seems to be an option for the statue symbol only. What is possible though is that we still don't have any information on how the rest of the sequence is supposed to work. Maybe it's determined by something they just haven't added yet.

Well, maybe you really do have to "understand" the scrolls in some sort of order ... and the statue is a clue on where to start.

And maybe you get confused if you read things out of order ... meaning you have to start over from scratch.

*shrug*

with 12 hours to wait after each scroll, I can't believe you'd need to read any more than your statue scroll

Quite possibly. I don't understand why they'd go to the trouble, though, if it wasn't significant.

Some say programmers are masochistic. I'm of the opinion that we're mostly sadistic, so it is possible. ;)

Has anyone tried reading the scrolls in order of their Tablet? Did Egyptians read up/down, right/left, left/right.... soes anyone know?

I haven't found my statue yet... :( (I have tried 8 doors, so far). Is the symbol on the statue found anywhere on the Tablet?

Just a thought...

..I'm starting to believe myself that everyone is basically as far as they're gonna go until another part of the plot is released..

Maybe some of you should take this time to rest, nya?
