A bit of clarificaton about fishing: You fish again in a randomly determined time, the shortest this has been is 30minutes, I think the longest it has been is around 10 hours. Checking back does not reset you waiting time, so you can check back every hour and have a descent chance that one of your pets can catch something.

I've had waits of over 24 hours on fishing.

Here is another idea for those searching neopia for clues. Neopet's search options are VERY limited, soooo
try using google to search their site Just enter
"Thing you are searching for" site:neopets.com
into the google search feild. Then it will only search the neopets site. Only trouble is, is that this also searches petpages, so you'll get some petpage respones even though they are down.

EDIT: sorry about the fishing waits, I was unsure about the max waiting time. I had never had more then a 10 hour wait on it. . But the shortest wait times are still acurate acording to the unofficial FAQ

I heard somewhere on the neopets boards that the disown function in the pound is down becuse lots of people freaked out after their pet got stuck in a sand trap and put them in the pound. Is this more bull or can anyone here confirm that?

Qasalan tablets dn't seem interesting... I've seen the image previously, they only say the prince is a thousand years old or something of that sort...

Been catching up from last night ... but this I have a question about this post.

Just wanted to say that my pet "understood" a scroll that wasn't on my statue the night before last, are we sure that only happens with the statue one?

Which scroll is on your statue, Trick? Which scroll did you read and get the understands message? Where is it located on your tablet?

This is *huge* I think. Please tell us more. If people are able to understand more than 1 scroll now, this is a very important find.

Wow, I hadn't thought of that. I suppose lots of people would have freaked over something like that. Personaly, I would have growled and bought a trans potion if I thought that was permanent, but many neopians wouldn't think that way...
But if you check the bug report section they say that they are working on that section of the site.


And, I also sencond XenaAndGabrielle's plea. This is phenomial! If eveything matches up, then we can perhaps figure out how to understand more scrolls. Perhaps they must be read in a certain order.
Of course, it is still possible that the scrolls are a red herring, but we have to try something to keep from going insane!

I tried to disown one of my petpet the other day and it wouldn't let me do so.

I think the clue at the fortune teller is telling us we need to worry about order ... check out the line I have bolded.

"You've found all the tablet pieces! Remarkable!" The fortune teller gazes into her crystal ball for a moment. "But what does it mean? These glyphs and their order mean nothing to me. I'm a fortune teller, not a professor of ancient languages! We must find some way to translate them. You can look at the Mysterious Tablet again if you like."

I think she is telling us that we have to think about their order. I know (at least, I thought) someone tried reading the scroll corresponding to the first symbol on their tablet ... and just got the "reads" message.

I did a random one last night on my tablet, but just got the reads message.

If Trick did indeed "understand" another symbol ... it is extremely important.

If I had to guess ... the next symbol would try is the symbol just after the faerie statue symbol (the one that was on my tablet to begin with).

Disowning is down at the moment as it is handled by the petpages server which neopets are currently working on

I'm beginning to think it was a glitch or I'm remembering wrongly, I don't think it's likely that only me would have this happen to them x) The glyph on my statue is Saf, the glyph on the statue door is Kar. The scroll I read was Kha which is the top left symbol on my tablet and is repeated once. Like I say though it was probably because I read it a few days ago or something


Edit: The repeat of the symbol on the scroll I read (Kha) is however repeated on my tablet after the symbol on my statue (Saf).

Can you tell us where Kha is located in relation to the Saf symbol that was on your tablet to begin with?

I've re-read scrolls, and the message stayed the same between the first reading and the second reading.

Trick, did you right click on the statue and take the symbol name from the image name? No offense, but some have been getting the symbol of their statue wrong by simply looking at the base. (It is really dark.)
