Info and Rules:
Most people have created something resembling this next contest at one time or another, either on purpose or by sheer accident much to the chagrin of their loved ones. (It's a long story. Don't ask.) But now you can do it for fun and fabulous prizes! Take that, loved ones!

So, what are we talking about? Well, this week we're asking you to make a sand painting! See? The Lost Desert is sandy and it's a sand contest. It's a theme!

*cough*

For those unfamiliar with sand paintings, the object is to glue coloured sand to a canvas (ie: a piece of paper you ripped from your notebook) and create a picture as though you were painting using actual paints. Simple, eh? Most of us agree the hardest part will be finding (or making) the coloured sand, but we know you can do it. If you need more instructions, Mr. Google has some really nice tutorials. That Mr. Google... always willing to lend a hand.

Your painting must, of course, be Neopets related in some way. Paint your favorite Pet, Faerie, Collectable Card or whatever you want! Then take a picture of your art and send it in via the form below. We're leaving the size restrictions at 600 x 800 because... well, because we can. (And also because we flubbed last week and didn't make live the size change. -__-) Your picture doesn't have to be that large, of course, but make sure we can see all the fancy detail please!

Explain what you made and how you made it in the box for us to ponder over as we gaze at your masterpiece! Then click submit.

Then go outside and play.

Lawyerbot falls asleep in his chair and dreams that he says:
- Please be careful as sand can spread rather quickly to many unwanted areas.
- Parental supervision is a must when doing any craft project!

Congrats to the winners!

You place glue on a piece of paper and then sprinkle (colored) sand on the glue -- done in portions or you end up in a mess when you mix colors for the coloring of the art :)

This is the worst thing I've made so far. Picture doesn't pick up the salts I used. Darn spice rack!

I also turned it sideways to fit the criteria without cropping:
