Continue with the plot discussion here :)

Previous thread: http://www.pinkpt.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=20366

- The plot
- The Fortune Teller
- The Temple of One-Thousand Tombs

Known Facts:

Eveyone's tomb, doors, and phrases are different.

Your tomb is the same to you each time you enter it.

All passages seem to be two way. You should be able to return to the room you came from. The door may not be in the same position, but one of the doors will return you.

There are three library doors and one statue room in each tomb. In the libraries, you can read a scroll, but the effects haven't been found yet. The statue asks for a prophecy, but the correct one hasn't been found yet.

Library doors
Image Image Image

There are 85 rooms, 5 doors in each room, and a total of around 425 doors.

If you read a scroll, you can't enter for 12 hours. If you get caught in a trap, you can't enter for 1-3 hours and your pet may temporarily be turned to a pile of sand.

There are 6 door colors and 4 door shapes. The riddles will only tell you the color and shape of the door you need.

Shapes:
A humble portal of stone (rectangle) [just a regular old door]
Mouth of the river (triangle) [think about it ... the place where a river starts will look like a triangle ... because it starts flowing out]
The aspect of a star (pentagon) [5 sides to a standard star]
Window into the soul (oval) [your eyes are ovalish]

Colors:
Blinding radiance of the sun (yellow) [the sun]
Thunderous clouds obscuring the sky (black) [makes it dark]
The waking dawn on the dunes (red) [at dawn, thing all look red]
Banks of the mighty river (green) [everything is green on the banks]
Kingdom of the lightgiver (blue) [the sky is the sun's (lightgiver's) kingdom ... and it is blue]
Bright guardian of the night (silver) [The moon is sort of silverish]

The combination does not tell you which symbol you need, but does limit your search to 12 possible doors to find your statue in.

After you find the Nuria faerie statue and go back to your library and read the scroll with the symbol that was on the statue's base, your pet now understands it. Nothing else has been seen to come of this as of yet, though.

I have finished mapping, took me 2.5 hours! I left a few rooms unmapped cause I found all my libraries and all 12 red pentagon rooms that I need. I have 88 rooms and I don't think any are there twice. wow! I'm beat now. decided to read a scroll so can't go in for 12 hours!

Anyone had this riddle before? Any one knows what it means? I'm at a total loss. Help greatly appreciated.

The door slams shut behind you and you see a riddle inscribed on the opposite wall. It's very intriguing. You decide to spend a while trying to figure it out...

Blame it on the boogie!

Yes this seems to be just another trap at the momment... but what if we had read all twelve scrolls, would our pet be able to understand it then...?
You'd better mark that door just in case.

Now, for some questions:
1. Has anyone else had trouble getting more than one library? I've been through two of the library doors and got the same 4 scrolls each time ... tried refreshing with no success ... will try the third, I guess, but hate the 12 hour wait.
2. Has anyone tried all 12 of the doors suggested by the riddle? Am considering trying the rest of mine, just to see if there's another one that's useful. (6 more to go, for this).
3. If I can get that done, and if Ankh is the only symbol that leads somewhere, I'm considering trying the doors with other colours/shapes that have the Ankh symbol ... or has anyone done this yet?
Thanks to everyone for the great work/tips/info/sharing ...

Q1. It seems we have no clear cut answer to this yet. Some people(like me) report geting the same libraries before visiting their statue.
Q2. I found my fearie on the 10th try so I have check most of my possible doors. There is someone else psoting here who had the same luck I did and is soon to be testing their 11th door. It seems that if there was more to be found, we would have found it... of course it is possible that another fearie appears AFTER we visit the first, but the thought gives me a headache. :P
Q3. This sounds solid enough and I haven't heard of anyone (on any of the forums I spy, ahem, lurk on) having done it.

If you read the descriptions, they describe a place. There are 12 scrolls. There are 12 major worlds on The explore page.

Three of the Scrolls descibe three polace almost perfectly.

Image Here you can take a cool drink. - Maraqua
Image Here you might never be heard from again - Haunted woods..
Image Here you can look ages into the past. - Tyrannia or Meridell it can be either one.
Image Here you can create a stunning exterior fit for an ancient scroll repository. - I don't know I want to say it's Neopia Central
Maybe we speak the name of the world that is on the statue to recive a scroll?

I think the first three might correspond to the library doors:

Image Here you can look ages into the past. (timeline)

Image Here you might never be heard from again. (maze)

Image Here you can take a cool drink. (river)

I think the LC scroll is just an extra, especially because it's filename is lds_scroll_etc.gif whereas the others have symbol names like lds_scroll_ra.gif and lds_scroll_nem.gif.

(Btw, someone else in the threads came up with this theory. I'm just repeating and agree with it.)

One way to test this theory is to see if everyone has the same scrolls behind the same library doors. Like does the maze library door have the same four scrolls behind it for everyone? If so then it might be a clue as to which library we would need to enter to read the correct scroll for our statue.

I'm not sure if my way is easy, but it is accurate so I'll post it here again.

As for mapping: this is how I've done it so far. Note:this is only one page of my map, the whole thing is two pages.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v639/Rain_rTw/Neopets/My-Tomb-Map.jpg

I grouped all of the rooms together based on how they appear in the actual tomb, then numbered each group.
The number of blue dots above each numarical label indicates how many rooms are in that set for quick reference.
When I go through a door, I first mark which door I it was(so I don't lose tarck) then I figure out how many rooms(each consisting of 5 doors) wide the new group is and what the first room looks like.
Then I quickly scan over my map to see if I have a group that matches it, if not, then I map out the new section room by room from left to right and label the set.
Then I go back to my marked door (the one that led me here) and write what group it took me to(by number), and specifically what room(by letter).
Last I try going through a door in that room to verify that it will take me back to the original room, if so, then I mark that on the door.

Well, I hope that helps. It is the fastest way I can think of to generate a highly accurate map

EDIT: it probably would have been a lot cleaner if I had used graph paper, but the sheet I used was the one that was within reach at the momment I decided to start mapping.lol

I have two questions

To anyone who has gotten the phrase "you pet understands", when you return after your 12 hours is your riddle the same or has it changed?

Also are the same four scrolls behind the same library door the same for everyone?

Ex: Does every one who goes through the maze library door see the same four scrolls as everyone else who enters their maze door or are they random too?

So has anyone tried after going to a statue and reading the proper scroll that their pet understand finding another statue and reading that scroll? Im thinking you can keep going through until youve understood every scroll. Then something good happens =)

I am using the grid method to map mine like Cerise did and I'm finding that it works wonderfully and it's very easy to read. :) When I go through a door, I remember what the room looked like, then count how many are to the left and mark it on the grid (like if it's 7 from the left and 4th row, then it's D7). Then I write that on the door I came from. I then fill in the doors on the row around it and try the first hallway on the left and so on. In an open space I write which room was the entrance and anything important I find. :)

Ive been following this thread for a while, and I have to say it. To those who did handdrawn maps: Amazing :o
I just finished mapping last night with good old MS Paint, and Im currently running through my corridors in search of silver pentagons. No statue room yet though.
And since I love looking at all the different (and insanely confusing) ways people mapped their temples, Ill post my 5 hours of work too.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v291/myrrha/mapgif.gif

A grid method was the easiest for me to understand, so each empty black corridor is labeled to what cell of five doors it leads to.

I have been away for a week and I have not started to map my temple yet. Your map looks the easiest to read, but I am sort of lost. I understand how you got the top row, but as you go through the doors, how do you know what letter the door takes you to? I mean, you have the second door in A 1 listed as Q 1. How do you know it is Q? I see you can scroll left and right, but you cant scroll up and down, so I just cannot figure out how you know what letter it is. I know I sound stupid, but I am having a hard time coming into this after most are already done.

Like you said, I mapped the entrance row with the arrows first, then scrolled to the far right and clicked the first black corridor. It took me back to the start of that same row, so I had nothing to map with that click. I just labeled that black corridor 'A-1.'

So, I went all the way to the far right again, and clicked the next black corridor. It led me to a new, uncharted row, and so I labeled that row B. Instead of going back to A, I just stayed in B, mapped that entire row using the arrows, and started my clicking from the first black corridor on the left. It led me to a new row, which I labeled C. And again, instead of going back to B to finish checking those black corridors, I stayed on row C and mapped its length. All the while, I kept labeling where each corridor was leading.

Hypothetically, a black corridor on row C might lead back to row A, but I never actually got to row C by going through row A. Basically, I darted around, and checked for duplicate doors. If there was no duplicate, I created a new row. That explains how there could be a W on row A. I didnt go from row A to row W. I went from W back to A. Sometimes I was working backwards. And sideways, and upways and rightways too.

That sounds insanely hard to follow. Sorry if you dont get it still =/

let me get this straight. the prophecy on the entrance, tells you what color and shape of door you are looking for. from what I understand, there are only 12 of that kind of door and only one will lead you to the faerie statue. at the faerie statue, she wants you to enter a prophecy or something.

this is where i'm lost. is there a symbol or something at the base of the statue? if so what does it mean? does it corrspond with yet another door? and after you find the statue are you supposed to reread all the scrolls? do you have to read all the scrolls to fill in the tablet? is there a difference between the three types of library doors? if so, how do they corrspond with the scrolls?

*ish confuzzled* :(

I hate to beg but please please please with sugar on it, :D if anyone can answer the questions above it would realy help me. Especially the second one as I have found my fairy and want to read the right scroll and I don't know which library door to look in, and I don't want to wait 12 hours on a wrong guess.
