Continue with the plot discussion here :)

Previous thread: http://www.pinkpt.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=20286

- The plot
- The Fortune Teller
- The Temple of One-Thousand Tombs

Known Facts:

Eveyone's tomb, doors, and phrases are different.

Your tomb is the same to you each time you enter it.

All passages seem to be two way. You should be able to return to the room you came from. The door may not be in the same position, but one of the doors will return you.

There are three library doors and one statue room in each tomb. In the libraries, you can read a scroll, but the effects haven't been found yet. The statue asks for a prophecy, but the correct one hasn't been found yet.

There are 85 rooms, 5 doors in each room, and a total of around 425 doors.

If you read a scroll, you can't enter for 12 hours. If you get caught in a trap, you can't enter for 1-3 hours and your pet may temporarily be turned to a pile of sand.

There are 6 door colors and 4 door shapes. The riddles will only tell you the color and shape of the door you need.

Shapes:
A humble portal of stone (rectangle) [just a regular old door]
Mouth of the river (triangle) [think about it ... the place where a river starts will look like a triangle ... because it starts flowing out]
The aspect of a star (pentagon) [5 sides to a standard star]
Window into the soul (oval) [your eyes are ovalish]

Colors:
Blinding radiance of the sun (yellow) [the sun]
Thunderous clouds obscuring the sky (black) [makes it dark]
The waking dawn on the dunes (red) [at dawn, thing all look red]
Banks of the mighty river (green) [everything is green on the banks]
Kingdom of the lightgiver (blue) [the sky is the sun's (lightgiver's) kingdom ... and it is blue]
Bright guardian of the night (silver) [The moon is sort of silverish]

The combination does not tell you which symbol you need, but does limit your search to 12 possible doors to find your statue in.

My guess is that the prophesy will be like what we had to tell the (non-statue) Fire Faerie near the end of the Volcano plot -- i.e., something we won't even be given the clues for for some time yet.

OTOH, it certainly won't hurt to try various things in the meantime.

Could you please add the theory as to which colour/shape the statue door is to the first post? That would save a lot of questions.

ehm, so i jsut started mapping my room, visited 2 rooms that matched my riddle description, got sanded, etc

howeveer, i just noticed this in the neopets stuff page about their magazine:

"Highlights include a Lost Desert Cybunny how to draw guide, a list of the top 10 desert items, TCG secrets and lots of Lost Desert related things..."

could this mean that there may be more clues about the plot by...(*sigh) buying their latest magazine?

edit
also, as a side note, if anyone finds their statue room, try telling the faeries something like....asparagus or something, maybe its just a random somehting TNT likes

Has anyone seen this?

My wife went into a room which had 5 coloured doors with symbols on them, couldn't move left or right. So she clicked on a Blue Rectangle door with a footprint above it.

When she went it she got this message
Quote:
The door slams shut behind you and you see a riddle inscribed on the opposite wall. It's very intriguing. You decide to spend a while trying to figure it out...

Any idea what it means?
Is it just a trap?

Another thing: Please Post the things that you have told the fearie statue. This way we can figure out what doesn't work as a group and figure it out much faster.

Personally I haven't found my statue yet, but I'm getting warmer. I also have no blank walls in my tomb and no sets of rooms without an exit, like arogance1 was mentioning.

Yes, its the first thing I got. I've had it another three times now.

Just a pointless trap.

That's a good idea. I'll try that next time I'm in there (which should be an hour or two) and let you know what happens. I am leaning towards the theoy however that it's a longer phrase - either determined by completing the mysterious tablet or by combining the names of the symbols relevant to my tomb.

That's what I'm thinking, because the fortune teller does say "once the pieces are recovered, the inscription can be translated." It makes sense that the inscription would be the prophecy we need to tell the statue. It's possibly different for everyone, just like the tablets and tomb layouts.

I know my statue is behind a red rectangle door. I tried one with Ben (the chick) over it and fell into a pit of spikes. I haven't mapped my tomb yet, but I did find one library earlier today and read a scroll.

The aspect of a star

This is my riddle, but I can't figure out what it means, I think the second line refers to the ra(sun) symbol

If you have a look in the first post of this thread, you will see that you are looking for a door with a blue petagon. It is unknown at this stage how to work out the symbol above the door so you will have to try all (12) of the blue pentagon doors until you find the statue.
