:cry: I cant get as far as you guys! How do i get the message thing? All i do is press doors and get "The door slams shut behind you and the walls begin to move toward you! It's going to take all your strength to hold them off until the mechanism is disabled..."
How do i do it??

Click only on the open entryways not the colored shapes. Click on the arrows as well to side scroll to a different screen occasionally as well.

If you keep doing that eventually one of the 3 library doors will turn up.

I've made it to the library 3 times now but none of the scrolls I've read there added a piece to my Mysterious Tablet. I've read scrolls that had symbols I already have in my Tablet and those I do not, still nothing.

I think it'll get easier to figure out as the sotry unfolds though.

Well now when you zoom out of the fortune teller I found this -that yellow scroll..

That tablet filled in screeny is a fake, you only see two squares <_<

My idea:

Not sure how the library worked. I think theres a random chance you avoid to trap and get to keep the scrool. Then each scrool corisponds to a missing tablet square. Reading it fills that square in. Get all the tablets and you can read the prophesy to the statue.

The important thing is that it isn't one of the ones we need for the tablet, though. The seal is purple, not one of the 4 standard Neopet colors like the real ones, and the identifier is "etc" -- not only does et cetera indicate that it's an add-on to be like the others, but unlike the symbol-identifiers, plugging the name in place of the XXX in http://images.neopets.com/desert/ldp/ld ... mp_XXX.gif doesn't result in a picture.

I picked the same door as the door that you mentioned, however my event was different. My event was the following:

"The door slams shut behind you. Suddenly, the ceiling collapses and you are buried in a pile of sand! It's going to take you a while to dig your way out."

It took me a while too. I was like *sob* I'm lost in here, but then I started writing down the description of the doors and stuff so I would stop going in circles, and poof found a library.

Alright folks, here's my take on the whole thing.

We know that the scrolls have symbols on their ribbons:


We know that the tablet symbols match the symbols on scrolls:


And we know that the some of the doorways in the 1000 tombs have symbols above them:



I think this is like the one tower in Kirby's Dreamland 2, where you have to use certain powers to open doors, and you're given a selection of three doors. You can only open one door per room, and continue on from there. Once you get to the top of the tower, you wind up in a room with a Rainbow Piece, but it will be blocked such that you can't reach it. It's not until you realize that you have to use the Spark Ability with Kine to produce a lightbulb in a dark room earlier on in the level to light up a wall which shows you the sequence of powers to use to open doors than you can figure out the proper combination such that you wind up being able to access the Rainbow Piece.

All that being said, I think the tablet is a map. You need to fill in the entire tablet so you can follow the symbols above the doors to some special room or something. There's times when there are multiple doors with the same symbol, but if you go the right way, I bet each symbol would only show up once.

Or maybe I'm just goofy.

Edit: It turns out that the tablets are random with the symbols.

You've got some good ideas B4U. Shame my idea didn't work. I tried to go in the tomb this morning, and I went in, but since then I haven't been able to get in since? the door is still locked. It's been about 7 hours? strange.

When I went directly to the swf for the fortune teller I got a blurry rotating "chick" symbol scroll to the left it doesnt do anything but I will be dissecting it in flash.

i think there are a total of ten different sentences you can get on the steps to the palace. they are:

a humble portal of stone

banks of the mighty river


it could mean something, it could be a red herring.

How did you get into the library more than once?

I have only made it into the library once and read a scroll and gained "insight"... but got kicked out and have been kicked out for almost 10 hours now. It doesn't seem to want to let me back in!
