I have confirmed that the ray will change your petpet from a a pile of soot to something else. You do not need to un-attach it.

just got it yesterday for 80k.

my abominable (or however you spell it) snowman went up to level 2, and today my spyder's name got changed from lab_rat to times new roman o_O

But... nothing happens. It makes a kind of 'zzrrrppptttt' sound before shutting down completely. The creepy Kookith shoos you away and appears quite angry, so you hightail it out of there before he shoots some miniature laser beam at you or something.

Looks like you'll have to come back tomorrow.

I got tempted, bought it for what works out at 70k (after cash-back).. first zap: lucy the spyder turns into a rotawheel! how strange. not the coolest petpet, but I was always planning to keep zapping anyway..
