But is it known that a avatar is going to be released? If so I'll buy, if not then I probably won't buy the Spardel.

In general, things that people think might become avatar items will spike when the day is discovered, spike somewhat higher when the avatar is found on the servers, then either spike much higher or crash after the requirements for the avatar are known. If you happen to be on right when the news is released, I think there's generally a nice spike then, too, regardless of the requirements for the avatar, but that's more of a gamble.

:shrug: Your call. I bought 2 at something like 36k, although I probably should have waited... I bet they go lower again before the avatar is found. If you buy at the inflated prices I'd sell enough to cover your investment when (if) the avatar is found on the servers, though, instead of saving them all for the actual avatar release. Unless you don't mind losing the NP, of course.

I bought a Christmas Spardel. If the avatar isn't a clicky, all will be good. If it is a clicky the price shouldn't drop very much at all (because they were already around 30 - 40k).

My lab rat has a Spardel, should I sell? o.o I never buy in speculation, but the situation of selling has never came up with any of my items. Hmm. 12k --> 50k = awesome, but if there turns out to be an av then I'll prolly never get my lil Spunky back.

Wow, I thought it wouldn't have a big head. once again...all neopets are babies now...NO ONE is safe from boochi...except krawk since they can't revert back to Krawk petpet.

I still think it's pretty cute...dispite the big head.
