Recently I've read
Kiki's Delivery Service by Eiko Kadono (translated into English). This is the book the anime movie is based off of. It was really cute, a nice read. There are apparently more books in the series, but they aren't translated yet.
I more recently finished
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. Ugh is all I can say. I was not happy with this book at all. I mean, if a character has to die, I'm fine with that. Sirius dying in the previous book sucked, but the rest was fine. I really didn't like the way this book was written. It seemed rushed and thrown together like she had to hurry because the story has to finish in next book. I personally wouldn't mind if she had to extend the series if it made the story better, but that's just my opinion.

Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West
Great, great book.
Although the first few chapters were a bit hard to understand.

Feet of clay, by Terry Pratchett.

Yay for Pterry!
I'm reading Einstein's Dreams by Alan Lightman (for school), Antigone by Sophocles (for school), and Godel, Escher, Bach (sort of for school, but it's not required and it's only tangentially relevant... so yeah, mostly for fun).

Lord of the Flies by William Golding. School reading with two weeks left.

Yesssss.
Currently reading Lonesome Dove for school. As far as summer reading assignments go, I only moderately want to throw it across the room in a fit of resentment, frustration, and outright horrifying boredom and disgust.

I finally got around to finishing the book I was reading on the Boxer rebellion in China over the winter holidays - very happy about that.
I don't currently have anything other than textbooks that I'm seriously reading however if I've got 30 minutes or so to waste while I'm at Uni I usually duck into the Library and read a bit more of a book called
This House is Haunted its apparently a true account of poltergeist activity at a house in the UK. Can't remember who the author is though.
I'm actually hoping to do some reading on Plato at some point, does anyone know any good books? May as well ask while I'm here

Lord of Chaos - Robert Jordan
Personally, I think the Wheel of Time saga could take HP over its knee and teach it a thing or two. Book 6 was awful! (Or at least that's my opinion)

Now that I've finished reading The Poisonwood Bible for school, which was really good, I'm now reading Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.

In The Hand Of The Goddess by Tamora Pierce.
I have the urge to re-read this series, for some reason. I finished the first book last night.

I just finished
The Poisonwood Bible as well. I personaly thought it was an awsome book. Ironicly, I'm supposed to be typing my literary criticism of it now...
