((Er, I know that (both about how it's spelled and how that's the name you usually use when RPing). I assumed that they're bothed pronounced the same way (Ahn-kuh?), so I had Deirdre, as she tends to always randomnly point out bad/odd things about people, think that his parents named him after the planet or something. After all, it's not as if one can know how a word is spelled just from it's pronunciation- well, a word that's new to one, anyway.))
Deirdre, trudging along after the others, glared at the ground at this question. This happened to be a mistake, as she had walked back to the beach, and so was now glaring at the sand as if she wanted it to drop dead but first please pound needles into itself thank-you-very-much, which was quite rude, as the sand was was she controlled.
The sandlings- now looking like odd hybrid turtle-elephants- flinched away from her, leaving her to mentally groan loudly and slap herself.
"I'm sorry," muttered the frustrated girl, "But my name is Deirdre, and it's annoying when people seem to be utterly incapable of using the portion of their brain that differentiates between 'name' and 'stupid nickname that's true but still just as annoying because it's still not my name'."
"Anyway," Deirdre said, raising her voice as she finally looked up from the sand, "I know a place we could stay at until the blizzard dies- but it's a fair walk from here, so we should probably hurry before we turn into human renditions of Frosty the Snowman. And it's a bookstore, so if you even think of bringing food, vomit, blood, whatever into there, I will turn you into a gravy and feed you to a rabid colony of spiders."
((I just love writing violent bookworms. They're so- so- so violently bookwormish!!!))
