Anakins still an idiot in it though.

Just saw it, loved it, and when the dvd comes out im watching the commentary like any other movie I get, that movie rocked! :)

I just saw it. I used to hate Darth Vader but now I see things from his side and I pity him. Anyway, this movie rocked. There were a few funny moments but it was more serious, which I like. Yoda rocked. And all the fighting scenes were great. I didn't really understand what Grievious was, so someone is going to have to explain that to me. Did he used to be human? It seemed as if he was coughing a lot, and why would a robot need to cough?

Jar Jar. Just. No.

How many people came out of Phantom Menace cursing George Lucas for spoiling their childhoods? (not me, because I wasn't a child back in the 70's, of course). Horrible, Episodes 1 and 2.

(possible spoilers if you havn't seen the movie)

if you had watched the clone wars episodes on cartoon network, it shows that the reason Grievous is always coughing is becuase Mace Windu slashes at Grievouses stomach before he gets away with palpatine. And I do think he was a human at one point until his body was nearly completely destroyed by something.
Also, when Obi Wan shoots the blaster at Grievous after he pulls apart the chest plate you can see a heart and some other organs, also in the close ups of his eyes you can see some flesh.

hope that helped :)

The Revenge of the Sith novel actually refers to Grivous' past life on a few occassions saying that he was once an alien (didn't speify which species) and once loved someone. However, the novel didn't go any further and didn't explain how he came to be the bio-droid that he is now.

I'm sure there will be a book or something written by someone, somewhere down the track that will explain his conversion.

Spoilers.

I just saw it.

I think the best part of that movie was Grievous. He rocked.
I kept sitting there going "it'll be allright, he won't go to the dark side" and then i'd be "no, wait... he does... crap".
yeah. GREAT VISUALS!!!!
Bad dialogue.
GREAT VISUALS!!!!
Choppy plot.

*shrugs*
Don't know quite what to think yet. Though i'll admit to feeling like I should do mediocre Star Wars fan art... hmmm... I wonder if there were hidden messages in that movie...

Spoilers.. I guess.. involved...

I just saw it and I thought it was ok.
Visuals of course I would have to give a 10 out of 10. Absolutely gorgeous movie to watch. You can tell they spent some uber amounts of money on those FX and it really pays off.

But I just felt like the dialogue was SO HORRIBLE and boring... never mind the overthetop corny acting that was done in parts.

Like the Darth Vader part when he learns that supposedly He killed his woman... the corny as crap, overused, just plain cheesy, made me roll my eyes and want to get up and leave "Nooooooooooooooo...."

Or the terrible line of "you're breaking my heart"...

Or that stupid cheesy nonbelieveable scene where she all of a sudden breaks out into a sob.
Never mind that she was still pretty darn small... and was running around and hopping around like she wasn't even pregnant. And just forget that the babies looked like they weighed a good 10lbs each when they came out.

As my bf said that he heard.... they spent all their time on the special fx and did the dialogue as an afterthought.

I agree with you on those points. I hated the dialogue.
And those babies were huge... especially for twins. *shakes head* She looked too happy to be pregnant... not enough symptoms, too many smiles.
I hated the "noooo" thing too. I'd even blocked it out until you rementioned it. Darn you.
I like how Obi Wan got three limbs with one blow... that was cool. But so fast. I was like "whoa".
If I was him, I would've pushed him into the Lava, that would've been smarter... stupid Jedi.

Spoilers

I saw it on Tuesday (long story but I got passes to see it early) and it was great.

It was a lot darker than any of the other ones as you actually see all of Anakin's limbs get cut off AND he catches on fire. That was so sad when he killed all the younglings.

The fight scenes were cool, especially the opening one and the Yoda v. Palpatine one. I was disappointed with Grievous though because I thought he would have put up more of a fight than get his arms cut off easily and get blown up by a laser shot into his heart. I had no idea hearts were flammable. o.O

I think it was his tank of strange green liquid or something that caught on fire :P

I was dispointed with Grevious' fight thought considering how they portrayed him in the clone wars cartoon.

Just watched it a few hours ago. I actually enjoyed it. I'll admit i found the Grievous/Kenobi fight to be a bit short, but in general, I think it was pretty good. The scenes where the Jedi were ebing killed in the various worlds was actually upsetting and i found myself hoping on numerous occassions, just like i did with the book, that Anakin would turn away from the dark side, despite the fact that it was inevitable.

I absolutely hated the "nooo" scene and was hoping that just for that scene, Vader's voice would "crack" and return to its normal Hayden Christensen voice. Even for just that one line.

I enjoyed the whole sequence where the Jedi were being killed off.
Well not enjoyed as in I was happy to see them die.. but enjoyed as in.. I got into the part.
I felt bad kinda heartbroken when each one of them were getting slaughtered.
That was the only time during the movie when I felt that way though... when I actually cared what was going on...

So fast that I actually looked away for a couple of seconds, looked back, and was like "..When'd he lose his legs and arm? o.O"

I loved the effects on it, though like you guys said, the dialogue wasn't all that great. And they couldn't really do anything about it, I felt that a couple of the fights had no suspense, because you already knew that the characters would live, since they were in the next movie.

I hope George Lucas leaves it now and doesn't go and remake the original trilogy... Let us keep the old school!
