I got a popup (in Firefox! It boggles the mind!) from Neo earlier today, I was only using FF for Neo, and a FF window popped up when I clicked the "update prices" button in my shop. :/ I don't like this. I haven't had to deal with popups in like a year. It makes me sad that popups (from Neo or not) are getting through. Maybe I need to update FF though. :P

If you do then so do I-I was using FF also!

I have gotten a couple of pop-ups in the past (the weather one stands out for some reason), and those were fixed.

I don't use Firefox, I do use IE. I do have all updates and I have a very good pop-up blocker. Currently, nothing is getting through, but I can tell you that I've been on the site, the only place I've been on the internet with a scanned computer (scan every night) in my little "Blocking Pop-Ups" box have seen 2 or 3 things blocked.

It is the advertising network, not Neopets itself. Though to me any site that has pop-ups or any other ads that could be offensive or malicious is ultimately responsible for the content. It's up to us to let them know about these things ... it's then up to them to take care of the problem(s).

And Firefox apparently isn't completely invulnerable. I have Spywareblaster and note that it is for IE and Mozilla/Firefox. I'd also read something on Cnet.com that there is spyware that is being developed that will be targeted specifically at Firefox users. So keep that spyware scan and your a/v up to date as well as your browser updates.

I've gotten pop-ups from neopets too. With the software I have on my home computer, a dialog pops up under the menu bar if a pop-up window from the page gets blocked. I've had quite a few lately. I don't know what add, because 90% of the ads get blocked.

Theres a new extension that the Mozilla Team is creating that should kill 100% every single pop-up. Guaranteed.

Currently, there's some kind of code in flash that generates pop-ups. That's where many a problem lies. This extension should fix it up though. Watch out for it ;)
