I know, it's stupid. :/ Ah well, they'll sort it out. Hopefully.

If you ask me, I hope their controllers will change. I just can't stand a Playstation controller, they make me so angry!
I just can't play on them, I think I'm too used to Xbox and Gamecube controllers.

As long as they don't do something drastic (like taking the double shoulder buttons away, which I doubt they would do) I won't really have much of a problem with a new controller. But it would be better if they kept itthe same, or nearly the same. IMO it is the only controller that has a decent button layout for every genre of game.

Hopefully they don't go crazy with it...

I strongly doubt Sony will change the design on of the PlayStation/PlayStation 2 controller, its the best controller out for any of the consoles.

The only thing that makes the PS2 controller better than the GC controller is the fact that it has separate R1, R2, L1, and L2 buttons. I haven't played a PS2 game yet that relies strongly on the R3/L3 buttons, so games can get past without them very easily. The PS2 left analog stick is poorly placed when it comes to ergonomics, you have to move your thumb down to use the main controller.

The GC controller's left analog stick is placed a lot more sensibly, is a lot more comfortable, has superior plugs, and doesn't have a stupid pointless "Analog" button that can be turned off by the controller rumbling, screwing you up majorly in games.

Also, the GC controller is very well made for FPSs, whereas the PS2's controller is insanely horrible for FPSs.

Overall, I'd say the GC & PS2 controllers are about equal.

The XFlop's controllers stink and that's the end of that.

Revolution != GameCube 2

I don't recall GameCube being part of Revolution's codename. Did you add that in there because you thought it would look cool? Backward-compatible with GCN does not mean it is a GCN. I point to the DS as evidence. But let's ignore that for a moment.

I've seen that PS3 controller. I find it quite humourous. I don't think it should be taken seriously. It's likely just a joke.
I haven't taken the time to read the whole thing, so I have no clue what all this "cell" stuff is about.
Revolution "info" is mostly just speculation, I believe. Be sure not to assume everything is fact. You should also be skeptical of the "info" on the other consoles. Rumours spread easily.

Sooory, Didn't mean to offend you, Mr. Sensative. That's just what I usually call Revolution.

Mr. Sensative

Heh heh. It's okay. I wasn't really offended much.

... *raises eyebrows*
:roflol:

Heheh, anyway, yeah. I've been supporting Sony for the past 6 years. I think. It's not that I hated Nintendo, I just never owned one. Same with Xbox (although I don't like Xbox very much anyway)

With the Next Gen consoles though, things might get interesting. The Xbox isn't anything more than a computer without a mouse, and the Xbox Next Computer thing will bridge that gap. Bah, just buy a PC and save yourself the trouble.

Nintendo.... dunno enough about that yet.

PS3, that looks set to be interesting. Very interesting.

Each of them claims to be able to remakwe the gaming industry. We'll see.

I have never understood why there is so much dislike towards the Xbox, well apart from the fact the console is another step in Microsoft's campaign for world dominion.

There are those who base there opinions on aesthetic values fine go ahead and call it an overweight Xblock, true it's heavy and difficult to carry around but lets remember these aren't portable devices like SPs, DSs, and PSPs.You buy one and carry it home and rest it where they are meant to sit, under or ontop (not a good idea with the Xbox) of your television etc.

There are those who claim it's just "computer without a mouse". They're all computers without a mouse.... I direct you to the GS article: http://hardware.gamespot.com/Story-ST-x-1939-x-x-x though filled with speculation all next gen console are constantly pushing for better more advanced hardware, hardware i could only dream of having for my PC.

I could list many reasons I chose to buy a Xbox over PS2 or GC, but at the end of the day if i had the money I'd buy em anyway.... I have always wanted to Play FFVII and FFX and so on...

All i'm tryin to say is that though i have an Xbox i don't support them I... and note the emphasis... "BOUGHT" it because it had what i wanted most from a console. No matter who they are they, are still selling something and trying to make a monetary profit from it. Don't be a fanperson be a smart consumer/gamer and buy want you want not what they give you.

And for the sake of my sore, sore typing hand if you gonna say a consoles rubbish give a reason.... No scratch that, a valid reason. You wouldn't judge someone based entirely on their weight, would you?

The Xbox 2 sounds positively delicious. Halo 3 man, Halo 3.

isn't the next Xbox called: Xbox 360? o_O

Mon May 09, 2005 11:15 pm

It probably is, but it wasn't when I wrote this.

Xbox 360...Sort of a weird name, but I much prefer that then Xenon and Xbox 2.

Fri May 13, 2005 11:17 pm

I guess that X360 MTV unveiling has been aired by now.... has anyone seen it?

Sat May 14, 2005 1:31 pm

No, but I went to gamefaqs.com and they have a special on it. Looks pretty sweet, I like the white color. Real Futuristic. Because, of course, in the future, everything will be white.
