Anyone know why Combfruit prices have drastically risen?

Was offline a few hours and they went from less than 5k to minimum 50k.

People can effect the prices of things. Sometimes people horde things and resale them at high prices. Sometimes people lie and say something special will happen if you eat a certain food. Sometimes there doesn't seem to be a reason for the price increase. Other times the items are asked for in quests. If the snow faerie has been asking for combfruit a lot lately, maybe some folks picked up on this. It probably would be a good idea for people to poll their friends to find out what the faeries are asking for. Maybe someone has noticed an increase in quests requiring them. Really, who spends 50k on a quest item. I give up if it costs over a thousand to complete a quest. Maybe someone has started a rumor that they will retire. Something like, "My best friend's aunt works for neopets and she tells her everything that is going to happen. So I know that combfruit is retiring." Which rumors like this are bs. I am sure that someone's aunt works for neopets, but they probably don't leak secrets out like that.

well with the snow faerie shes the only one to give out a good np reward usually between 1500-2000np most of the time so i find it wise to do 2k or lower quest for her since theres a good chance of atleast getting the np you spent back plus whatever items she gives you,unlike enda with her sometimes cheap 1 item quest only to stick you over on the reward =/
