Okay I know this is a pretty New Member question but I was taking some time off Neopets for the while when everything was explained I guess but......

What is Neopets Premium?

Is it like a paid version of Neopets or a special Neopets that you can only gain access to if someone invites you?

Anyway, can someone please explain?

It's a pay service and you get things like being able to beta test games, your own neomail.com e-mail service, a free scratchcard every friday, access to Neopets Portal and some other stuff.

Currently they only release a certain number of positions to sign-up every so often. You have to be lucky enough to catch one of these positions. Give me a second and I'll go find the link for you :)

Cool, thanks. I'll check up on that and maybe consider signing up.

$8 US isn't too bad... That's about....$10.40 AUD.

and at p/month that'd be like $120 a year. But I don't think I'd put up with it for that long.

Just keep in mind that with the ever changing exchange rates some months you could be paying about $16 because sometimes the Aust dollar drops to only buy about 50c US :) Anyways, good luck getting a spot and do enjoy premium if you end up signing up for it!

The dollar is at about 77 cents so if you want to work out how much that is a month in US :)

That would be close to superguy13's initial guess at $10.40 per month I believe. Of course, it will not remain at 77 cents forever and that's definately something to keep in mind for future months.

To add to Weewoo's information, you also get to browse the site without the enormous banner ads at the top and bottom of every page. That alone is worth the $8 a month to me.

Also, the only reason the sign-ups are limited now is because Premium is still in beta. When they're finished adding stuff to it, I assume they'll allow everyone to sign up who wants to.

Then again, the British Pound is usually higher again :) (Is it still the British Pound or is it now the Eurodollar?)
