Is it just me? Or is the main site, http://www.pinkpt.com , having popups?

I think it may be you... I browsed a few pages there, and didn't get a popup. The only "popups" I get from here are the new PM notification, on the forum.

Maybe you've got spyware?

Gone, forever.

Oh jesus christ... I went to Pinkpt.com and McAfee says a whole bunch of my programs have been infected with something, and a little thing says that some Windows XP files have been replaced with files that basically might make it screw up. o__O;;
FIX. NOW.

I've been getting a ton of stuff from PPT. The page takes longer to load now, too. Freakin' horrible.

OK: The whole internet is a giant pop-up volcanoe. My suggestion to you is to get a pop-up blocker, and accept that your days of browsing the internet without random unwanted advertisments taking over your task bar ended years ago.

On a happy note, I think it's just you so scan your computer for spyware + adaware.

Quite often I get full-window popups on the PPT main site too, and I am quite sure my computer does not have spy/adware.

Those are the ones I'm getting, they're really big, and rather annoying.

And that is why I don't step one virtual foot on the home page. I go straight to the forums.

Agreed. The one time I went on there and Trend came back with a Trojan, I never went back. Just not worth the time and/or effort to clean the system. That and I think the abundance of ads on the front page makes the page look really bad and kinda ugly. Sorry.

I suppose it was about time for another one of these topics. Its been what? A whole month? :roll:

There are no viruses on PPT. There are popups, and yes, sadly, some of them may contain spyware. Spyware is at worst a nuisance, and will not harm your PC in any way. We do our best to curb the advertising, but it is a necessary evil.
