The only way I would pay for such a service is if you caould send scores 5x a day + no NP cap on scores.

I know of 2 people who were able to get a faster response and get unfrozen. One was a complete misunderstanding, and the response when the person got their account back said so. The other I don't remember all the details of ... but I can tell you that a number of people have been suspended within the past week for breaking the TOS and those suspensions were not made any shorter because the people involved were premium members.

There are other players on the site who are not premium but get and have for a long time gotten special treatment. Compared to that, well, enough said.

Thinking about Neo-site-only image hosting. That would be cool. I don't think it's feasible at all from a financial point of view unfortunately.

Things it would take to get me to join Premium:

48 hour or less "Top Priority" customer support regarding frozen accounts, glitch reports, items lost, or anything of that sort.

Fifth pet slot. Oh yeah.

I'll... think of more as they come to me. o.0 There's not much that could get me to join premium, actually.

... which would be a tremendous edge over non-Premium players.

Yeah! That'd make it all worthwhile. ^^

The ability to view the folders on the image server. Instead of having to find pictures and then get the URLs for the pictures make it so you can go to http://images.neopets.com and click on the folder links (IE : Parent Directory) and go from there to find images if you don't know the name.

Make the unreleased images shielded from the premiums just clicking folders (Still have them uploaded though :P). Not a major advantage but it would be nice

That'd be great for Neopian Adventures.

But it would mean more work for TNT. What is someone uploads unappropriate stuff?

Simple solution to the inappropriate factor. Provide it only to people that have paid at least 3 months in advance, as no refunds are given if for whatever reason you stop playing Neopets it means that they simply need to freeze the person, delete the image and they're walking away with money, the sad enough person to feel the need to do that loses money and hopefully learns a lesson and doesn't do it again

If that guy uploads a *censored* and doesn't use it on anywhere?

Better yet, have a staff member who must verify the images before they are uploaded onto the site (Make it a max of 2 images a week or something like that)

I have Premium, and it's really spiffy, but there are a few awesome things that could be added (some said here):

* Avatar only for Premiums (probably Space Faerie, because she's sort of the main faerie for Premium, believe it or not :P And not like the current Space avatar)

* 5 pets! :D

* Able to send game scores 5 times a day at least.

* Priority (sp?) - like, if someone sends verification and proof that he did nothing and his account was frozen, it would be taken care of sooner. Not that other people should be ignored, of course. But considering that we pay for the service, we do deserve... well, service.

* Err... perhaps a weekly contest for Premium members? Like there's MP and LC and those so something only for Premium...

Well, what do you expect - after all, I am Premium myself :P But at least I didn't say something like a free weekly PB once a week for each Premium member... but maybe you'll consider that, TNT?

That's the most straight-forward way to get around the problem. If they're all filtered before they go onto the server then no inappropriate images would get on there. Of course, it will take man hours, that's going to cost money... I suppose the real question then becomes can the increase in sign-ups for Premium cover at least the additional costs to have it monitored.

A staff member to view all images wouldn't really be feasable though. And what if your petpage consists of a fake avatar collection for example? You'd be uploading for weeks! I think that Premium members, regardless of how long or how much they're paying, should recieve the 5mb. The image might be used through their name, like

http://www.images.neopets.com/userimgs/ ... PIXLOL.jpg

And if anyone abuses that system, the person's image could be removed, and their account frozen.

On the other hand, I think I see 5 pets as also being reasonable. I mean, it doesn't really offer that much of an advantage. In fact, it creates more of a burden. And Adam could make 6 pets for himself. Or 10, that would rock.

I don't have Premium, but I agree, that Premium should get a slightly higher priority in regards to support emails. They are paying, after all.

There are two things that I think would make premium so much more appealing to people...and to me:

1) Make it so that you pay for premium on your IP or selected range of accounts (or a mazimum number of e-mail addresses etc) rather than per account. This way people with multiple accounts and households with more than one neopets player would be far more likely to pay up, especially when there are kids. What parent would pay for premium more than once so that all their sprogs could be equal? Not many I bet, heh.

2) Half the price from $8 a month to $4 a month (and therefore from $96 a year to $48 a year). I predict that if they did that more than double the number of people would sign up - thus making them more money than they do currently. I'm a student and I can't afford what it currently costs, and I bet a lot of parents wouldn't fork out for that either.

If they did those two things I would sign up for premium in a heart beat, absolutely, and I would guess that far more than double the current number of people on premium or who want premium would sign up.

It would also be good to have a guarentee that they wouldn't auto freeze paying customers but investigate incidents properly before dealing with the matter. I'm surprised they don't do that already for premium users. MAybe being allowed to have more accounts too - and the ability to set them as secondary accounts - meaning you can't earn any nps on them so they've no reason to be suspicious.

So in short, I don't really want any extra items or bonuses that you don't already get. I want:

1) half the price
2) allow premium per IP/selected range of e-mail addresses rather than per account
3) extra insurance against getting unfairly frozen
and maybe: 4) a higher number of extra accounts that can be set up so you can't make np on them through games etc.

*phew*

I really like that one. This way you /can't/ cheat on the other accounts.

They should also have an option to transfer NP from the main to the secondary so that you can adopt/disown and transfer pets.
