I actually wrote a short story before doing just this. It was in the Neopian Times a long time ago, called "The Meerca's Bad Day." And I have another one that's been in my documents folder, half-completed, for the last... 3 years. "Nasty Lenny."

I remember I wrote a Kiko Christmas Story and it was rejected. :B

I finished mine, but they won't let me enter it. The message says "ERROR : Please provide a description that is at less than 500 words. Your word count is 1084 word(s)." Is there anything I can do? 500 words won't be enough for this story.

i did this but it was only bout 400 words

This is something I'll actually be able to do!

Well, I couldn't shorten my story from 1000 words to 500 and have it still make sense, so I submitted the first bit of it and then told them the rest was on one of my pet's pages. That probably disqualifies me, but it was worth a shot. I didn't want to have written that story for nothing, and I think it turned out pretty well.

Well, I entered a little something. I doubt it will get chosen as a winner though, the 500 word limit severely butchered my writing, dagnabbit! >.<

I did The Hunt for the Red Gelert. I'm disappointed in what I did, however. It sounds awkward, and, all in all, not a very good peice of writing. Why? Because of the word limit. It made me take out most of the descriptions I had, as well as some of the major parts of the plot I had.

Ah well. Maybe I'll do it again, for the Neopian Times or something, where I don't have a 500 word limit.
