Weird neomails o.0

Every now and then I get a neomail which really makes me think "what the heck is this person on?!". A few minutes ago I recieved this neomail from someone whom had never neomailed me before (my neofriend requests are turned off by the way).

Sterl, that Neomail is crazy, babeh.

Actually the only time strangers have Neomailed me was when I won a Negg from the Wishing Well and it posted my username. A billion people kept asking me if they could have the negg, how I got the negg and if I was a cheater and scammed my way into getting a free negg.
*wipes forehead* I'm glad that fiasco is over with. It was really annoying.

Someone neomailed me thinking I was cinfulgirl once. It was very weird, especially considering that my username isn't even remotely close to hers. Made me feel kinda special for like, 2 seconds though. lol

Yes, I got one once that said "Anytime you are ready." My guess is that this person got my username mixed up with someone else's. Perhaps that is what happened in your case?

Let's see, odd neomails...

-Once a girl neomailed me telling me to put a underpriced white sink on my shop so she could buy it. At least that's more modest than asking for a paintbrush...

-Some time ago, other one sent me a neomail telling me to 'shut up' (never had I spoken with her before, nor I go to the Neoboards)

-In a separate occasion, someone sent me a neomail with only a 'ha..' or something similar. I answered 'heh...' (seemed like a good enough answer), and the person mailed me back calling me 'OVERACHIEVER!!!'. Was she trying to insult me?

I reopened my Neomails for a brief moment as someone (not from PPT but another forum I go to) wanted to speak with me on a different matter.

No sooner do I open the line and I get these:

- Can I have Ten_Cents17 please? I'll trade you my Elephante for him!

[Uhm...nope...]

- Becky, how come you never gave me anything?
[No idea with this one...]

Some are good, some are weird, others are simply beggars. Guess it's funnier just trying to be polite at times XD

How do you all attract these kinds of neomails? I'm on the neoboards practically every day and the neomails I get are...well...sane. Weirdest thing in my inbox currently is "if i pay u can u get me the following items" which is downright astute compared to Sterl's little gem o_O

I seem to attract people like this on a daily basis for some strange reason. Even out job-hunting offline, I get people who ruffle me up like this.

Probably just my semi-aggravating luck at work today...

Once I made the mistake of being sweet to some kid on the neoboards looking to get her pack rat av.. I sent her about ten items (no more than 1000np altogether), and she sent me a normal "kid" reply, "OMG!! thankies", that sort of thing. I mailed back that she was very welcome, and thought that would be the end of it... but no. She kept mailing me, saying I must be rich to be so kind, and have all those painted pets, and could I give her one of my paintbrushes. I explained that I had the lab ray, and probably less than 300k in the bank.. ever since then, at least once a day, I get a neomail from her saying "You're so cool to have the lab ray. I wish I had one, will you give me some lab map pieces?" ... every day. Same message. :roll:

Heh, now that I think back, when I was a mere newbie I must have been annoying to one guy. He won the site spotlight with his Faerie Poogle, and in his site he spoke about the lab ray and how it made his poogle into a faerie.

Woooboy, so I Neomailed him asking if there really was a such thing as a lab ray. O___O Guy must have been nice because he politely explained what the ray way. I was a bit annoying at first, but in the end we became sort of friends I guess you could say. (I even named a pet after him.) He's frozen now though...don't know what happened to him.

ANYWAY...and also I once neomailed my Lupe pack guild leader how to paint pets and if paintbrushes were a one time use. I wasn't annoying, but I guess I was a speck of an inconvience during my first month or so on Neopets.

How do you all get so many Neomails from random strangers? I haven't gotten a random Neomail since my wishing well fiasco, and that was about 2 or 3 years ago.

Eeep. That's a time when I'd be really friendly with the Block button.

I used to have a small PB collection, which were all in my shop prices as UB's. I had a girl Neomail me asking why they were so high or something like that. When I explained the gallery thing to her, she got really mad, and told me I was selfish and if I wasn't going to use them, then I should sell them to someone who would LOL.

Quite awhile ago I got a Neomail. From someone saying their name was the same as my Draik's. I didn't respond, but I wanted to say something to the extent of: Uh, that's nice. No, he's not for sale. x_x

I'd probably feel sorry for any non-Dragon type creature that had the name Drakona. =P 'Twas very interesting.

You know what that reminds me of..? If any of you have played the .hack// games, there's a Grunty who talks like that. It's... weird to say the least. And a bit amusing.
It also wears sunglasses and has flame-print fur. XP (I think that's the one. Rocker Grunty? XD)
